First, Ubisoft is planning on releasing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s biggest expansion yet—Dawn of Ragnarök—as well as additional content called Crossover Stories. Specifically, the latter connects Eivor’s tale to that of Kassandra, the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Eivor will assume the role of Odin in Dawn of Ragnarok, just like in the main game’s Asgard parts. The otherworldly journey, on the other hand, is expected to take 35 hours or more this time.
When Ragnarok is unleashed
When Asgard is overrun by invaders wielding the power of frost and flame as a means to wreak havoc on it, Rogue developer Ubisoft Sofia is in charge of Dawn of Ragnarok. Odin’s son, Baldur, has been kidnapped for reasons that remain a mystery to him, and he is now on a perilous mission to find him. Eivor will ultimately assume the guise of Odin when the lengthy journey opens on March 10, 2022, according to the game’s developers.
One-third of England is the size of the new AC Valhalla DLC world. Odin will set out from there on a journey to track down Baldur, but the all-knowing Allfather must first enlist the help of Svartalfheim’s exiled Dwarves, who have been dispersed by battle. Along with helping Odin get closer to his son’s rescue, Dwarven allies will help the Norse God in his battle against those from Muspelheim, who are foes of fire. In addition, a new bracer that may be used against the likes of Surtr, a fiery Jötnar, and Odin’s most fearsome adversary, is one such item.
Additional abilities that enhance AC Valhalla’s fundamental fighting can also be expected from Dawn of Ragnarok, including Odin’s own fire and frost powers. Resurrecting dead opponents is possible with a single fire-based skill. Special abilities allow the character to transform into birds and commit assassinations unlike any in Assassin’s Creed history. When the Valkyrie trials come along, Odin’s new tricks will come in handy.
A collection of crossover tales
Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories will be released on December 14 for both AC Odyssey and AC Valhalla, just in time for Eivor to see the Fate of the Gods in mid-March. Ubisoft Montréal and Ubisoft Québec collaborated on the production of the brand’s first-ever cross-game initiative, which focuses on the connections between Kassandra and Eivor. ”
Odyssey’s story, “Those Who Are Treasured,” takes place before the events of Valhalla’s “A Fated Encounter” crossover narrative, which takes place thereafter. During the Odyssey-based story, players can assume the role of either Alexios or Kassandra from the main game. Due to her canonical status, she is the only character from the 2018 entry to appear in Valhalla’s share of the arc.
‘A Wise Friend,’ the mission in which Valka the Seer joins Eivor and Co. in England, must be completed before “A Fated Encounter” may be accessed. On the Isle of Skye, a new AC Valhalla location, Valka tells Eivor of weird events that have occurred there and that the inhabitants of the island have all had disturbing dreams. Eivor and Kassandra will come face-to-face as they investigate the matter.
Kassandra obtained immortality after taking up the position of Hermes Trismegistus’s Keeper of the Staff. Kassandra’s immortal life is still a mystery, but Crossover Stories gives players a chance to follow in her footsteps after the fall of Ancient Greece. “A Fated Encounter” also includes the AC Odyssey Tribute Tattoo Set, Medusa Sail, Hero’s Sword, and the Spear of Leonidas as tributes to the realm of AC Valhalla.
