To commemorate the game’s award win, Genshin Impact is giving away free 10-pulls

MiHoYo, the developer of Genshin Impact, has announced that it would be giving away a free 10-pull to commemorate the game’s win at The Game Awards. Genshin Impact was one of several winners at the newest rendition of the annual awards ceremony honouring the year’s video games; miHoYo’s title was named Best Mobile Game. It Takes Two, developed by EA and Hazelight Studios, was named Game of the Year, Best Multiplayer Game, and Best Family Game at The Game Awards 2021.
Aside from the awards, the event also featured a series of unexpected video game announcements. Apart from the night’s victors, there was much to get excited about, ranging from sequels to surprise new releases. Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Eclipse was one of the night’s most unexpected announcements. It will be the first Star Wars game from the Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human creators, and it will take place during the High Republic era, which has become one of the franchise’s current focal points.
In celebration of the title receiving the Best Mobile Game award at this year’s The Game Awards, the Genshin Impact Twitter account stated that it will be giving away 1,600 Primogems, which is enough for one 10-pull. The Primogems will be given in stages via in-game mail from December 11 to 14, 2021, averaging 400 Primogems per day. To acquire the free Primogems, players must have attained Adventure Rank 7, and they must be claimed before the current 2.3 update expires.
Despite being launched only a few months before, Genshin Impact was nominated for a The Game Awards award last year. While it was nominated for Best Mobile Game and Best Role Playing Game, Genshin Impact did not win either. Instead, Among Us and Final Fantasy VII Remake won their respective prizes and joined the other The Game Awards 2020 winners. Fortunately, Fantasian, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Marvel Future Revolution, and Pokémon Unite were all defeated this year by Genshin Impact.
While a single 10-pull may not appear to be much to the uninitiated, long-time Genshin Impact players know how rare it is for miHoYo to give out so many Primogems for free in a single try. Even Genshin Impact’s anniversary presents were regarded as inadequate by fans, prompting the corporation to increase its distribution. Hopefully, the company’s generosity in the aftermath of its Game Awards victory would help it to rehabilitate itself in the eyes of Genshin Impact fans.
