In GTA Online’s upcoming update, Franklin Clinton, a hero of GTA 5, is included, and fans have noticed how he’s evolved over time. Rockstar Games revealed a few days ago that Grand Theft Auto Online’s The Contract will go live on all platforms on Wednesday, December 15th.
He stars in The Contract alongside Lamar and Chops the Dog, both of whom have stayed devoted to him in his rise from street hustler to a legal businessman in Los Santos. In addition, Dr Dre will join forces with Franklin and Co. after his phone containing unreleased tunes is stolen. As exciting as this GTA Online patch maybe, some fans are wondering why it wasn’t included as a single-player expansion of some sort. Other fan inquiries about The Contract’s content have arisen as a result of a deeper look at screenshots and gameplay footage.
Franklin has clearly aged since the last time we saw him in Grand Theft Auto V’s teaser video for The Contract. It didn’t take long for GTA fans to notice. Key art for the update shows Franklin’s hair and beard with flecks of grey. The creases and frown lines on his face may be due to the grimace he wears, but they are still noticeable. However, a discussion about time has passed in the following Reddit thread, where several commenters observe that Franklin is still sporting his “yee-you-ass” haircut:
Rockstar has stated that “years” have elapsed since Franklin, Michael, Lester, and Trevor robbed the Union Depository. Franklin is clearly in his 30s now if we assume that time in the GTA 5 universe moves according to real-time. He does a good job at pulling off the salt and pepper style.
GTA 5 was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013 by Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive. As a result, it has become one of the best-selling games of all time, with more than 150 million copies sold to date. In March 2022, the game will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the number is expected to rise even more.
