A recently discovered Red Dead Redemption 2 bug makes Arthur appear to be as ancient as Uncle. A number of flaws have been discovered in Rockstar Games’ 2018 western video game, Red Dead Redemption 2. They can range from something as simple as people spinning in their saddles while the user attempts to adjust the horse’s bridle to a more aggravating problem in which John Marston disappears into the earth while Arthur Morgan watches on in bemusement. Unfortunately, the issue involving John Marston’s disappearing act leads the game to display a mission failed screen to the player, which is frustrating. Fortunately, not every glitch results in the game being terminated unexpectedly. In truth, many of RDR2’s flaws are very innocuous, and some are even amusing.
Glitches in Red Dead Redemption 2 can cause the characters’ appearances to be altered in a number of different ways. In part because the game allows players to personalise their character’s appearance with an array of options, any faults that arise can have a significant impact on how the character appears to the player. According to one player, when they killed in combat while redoing the game’s plot, their character respawned with an entirely different body from the one they had before. When Arthur reappeared as a result of this RDR2 issue, he had gained weight. Now, a new problem has been uncovered that has the effect of altering the appearance of the main character once more.
Aerius06, a Reddit member, shared a photo of a new glitch that they discovered on the Red Dead Redemption 2 subreddit, which can be found here. Arthur appears to have aged dramatically as a result of the newly discovered bug, making him appear to be as old as Uncle. The photograph uploaded by Aerius06 shows Arthur, who is generally seen as a youthful man, with grey hair, a thick grey beard, and wrinkles. According to Aerius06’s post, it is unknown what caused the problem, but the screenshot indicates that Aerius06 was attempting to personalise Arthur’s attire when the bug happened.
One can only imagine what it would be like to have another member of the Van der Linde gang compete with Uncle’s own old man energy in the presence of this older Arthur. When it comes to Uncle’s relationship with anyone in the gang, both the original Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 leave a lot to the imagination. According to all accounts, he appears to have no familial ties to anyone and appears to have simply joined the group at some point. As Uncle is frequently shown drinking and whining, the addition of another old man to the gang would create a totally different dynamic, and perhaps even a different game altogether. In any case, seeing an older Arthur is a strange sight.
Despite the fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out for three years, it is still regarded as a fantastic game, with enthusiasts continuing to play it on a regular basis. As an alternative to reliving the tale or completing objectives, some fans take pleasure in uncovering new flaws such as the one shown above. In their own bizarre way, anomalies such as this old Arthur Morgan help to keep Red Dead Redemption 2 and its fandom alive in the long run.
