When we last saw Levi in the anime, he was standing watch on Zeke Jeager, who they planned to have him devoured by Jaegerists to disrupt his plot to sterilize Eldians using the powers of the Founding Titan. Levi had detained Zeke and nearly managed to decapitate him as well. Zeke managed to set off an explosive Thunder spear. Levi gets instantly caught in the blast. Shortly after this, the show went on a break. The second portion of season 4 is slated to broadcast on 9th January 2022.
In the trailer of Attack on Titan Season 4, part 2, it was seen that unconscious Levi is found by Hange. He gets awareness when Eren warns everyone telepathically that he wants to destroy the planet. In his struggle against Zeke, he sustained multiple scars on the face and lost two fingers off his right hand. He and the rest of the Eldians band up with remaining Marley warriors to battle against Eren. Eren has now triggered Rumbling. Due to rumbling, large-scale devastation is in action with the assistance of Wall Titans. Levi, with his fighting skill, manages to substantially injure Eren’s soldiers, even fulfilling his promise to Erwin of bringing down Beast Titan, AKA Zeke Jaeger in the process as well.
