It was revealed at the Netflix Festival Japan 2021 that the anime adaptation of the manga “Kakegurui Twin” will be created by Studio Mappa and will be released in 2020. The series will premiere on Netflix in April 2022 and will be available for streaming for the first time.

The events of Kakegurui Twin occur one year before the events of the main manga series. Kakegurui Twin is a manga series written and illustrated by Homura Kawamoto and Kei Saiki. It is a prequel series to Kakegurui, written and illustrated by Toru Naomura, and it is set before the events of Kakegurui.
The serialisation of the series began in 2015 with the publication of Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine.
The main Kakegurui series has already gotten two anime seasons produced by Mappa Studio, the first of which was released in 2012. In Japan, a live-action television series premiered in January 2018 and is currently airing.
While fans wait for the announcement of season 3, they may look forward to a spinoff series that will air after season 3.
