The Dragon Ball Super Card Game has begun to preview the cards from the next official expansion, which will be released in the near future. The Unison Warrior Series’ fifteenth main set and sixth expansion will be released in November 2021, making it the fifteenth main set and sixth expansion in the series’ history.
Known as Saiyan Showdown (with its full title being Unison Warrior Series BOOST – Saiyan Showdown), the series will capture some of the best Saiyan versus. Saiyan clashes from both anime and manga. Aspects of the set include Goku versus Vegeta from the Saiyan Saga, Gohan versus Turles from the Dragon Ball Z film Tree of Might, Goku and his sons versus Broly from the film Broly: Second Coming, and the Universe 6 Saiyans, who are all featured prominently.
During the time when the Dragon Ball Super Card Game showcases the cards from this upcoming expansion, Bleeding Cool will provide insight into the cards from the perspective of a card collector. Two group cards featuring the warriors of Universe 6 are included in this set. One of the most formidable warriors in Dragon Ball Super, the time-skipping assassin Hit, leads the charge with a collage of other characters from the Universe 6 behind him on the first card.
The card also includes the Saiyans Kale, Caulifla, and Cabba; Botamo, a fighter who is hilariously based on Winnie the Pooh; Frost, a duplicitous member of Frieza’s race who can transform into the iconic Dragon Ball Z villain; and Magetta, a powerful warrior who is more sensitive to personal insults than it is to actual battle tactics.
Its counterpart pays homage to the Saiyans Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale, three Saiyans who played a significant role in expanding the Dragon Ball universe by building a complete world of living Saiyans and introducing the first official female Super Saiyans to be featured in a canonical storey.
