A slice-of-life comedy ONA series called “The Way of the Househusband” is based on a manga series of the same name by Kousuke Oono published in Japan.
To keep his relationship with his significant other as normal as possible, yakuza chief Tatsu resolves to leave the criminal underworld.
However, he has no idea what kind of problems he is getting into by doing so. Old friends constantly interfering with the protagonist’s routine as he tries to acclimate to his new reality often disturbs and sometimes makes his life more intriguing.
After its April 8, 2021 debut, the anime has been a hit with fans and critics, thanks to its humorous anecdotes and captivating storytelling.

Here’s all we know so far about the upcoming second season of the slice-of-life anime. There has been no official confirmation of the show’s renewal from either J.C.Staff or Netflix as of this writing.
Although the show’s second season (half) has not yet aired, the ratings and critical reception have been very positive. It’s difficult to see why that won’t be the case in the second installment after watching the most recent episodes that have been made available.
Additionally, Netflix has recently made significant investments in anime, acquiring the streaming rights to episodes like ‘Komi Can’t Communicate’ and ‘Blue Period,’ both widely awaited.
Given that the platform’s aggressive acquisition strategy is unlikely to stop anytime soon, renewed interest in the show appears to be high. Season 3 of ‘The Way of the Househusband’ will likely arrive in Q3 of 2022 if it receives the green light soon.
