As Mikey and Draken arrived, they effortlessly slew the whole Black Dragon, putting a stop to the prolonged conflict. Today, viewers of Tokyo Revengers hope that future episodes will have less violence. Mikey will return Takemichi to Hina, as seen in the previous episode’s post-credits sequence, and the two will most likely reconcile.
Recap of Tokyo Revengers Episode 9
Mikey strolled inside the chapel and greeted everyone with a Happy Holidays. Mitsuya explained to Mikey why they were attacking Black Dragon when they had previously agreed to a ceasefire. At this point, Takemichi appeared to be terrified, as he thought Mikey was weak after hearing Taiju and Mikey start chatting. Taiju surprised Mikey by punching him in the face and knocking him out. Everyone was shocked when he knocked Mikey down with a single punch, but Mikey quickly got to his feet and carried on as if nothing had happened. The scene then rewound to depict a brief flashback between Inui and Kokonoi, during which Inui made the decision to bring back Black Dragon after Toman had defeated it. Inui was then introduced to Taiju by Kokonoi. The two then engaged in combat, with Taiju quickly dispatching Inui to become the new Black Dragon’s boss. The current situation: Everyone thought Taiju would easily defeat Mikey, but Mikey knocked him out with his trademark kick.
Mikey recalled how he and his brother, Baji, would go on bike rides every Christmas. He then produced Baji’s lucky charm, explaining that his inner strength came from knowing that his brother Baji and all of his friends were always with him. As soon as they made up their minds to depart, Taiju woke up and gave orders to Kokonoi to summon the rest of the Black Dragon members who had been waiting outside. Mikey teased Taiju, stating that despite his might, he lacked compassion. As Kokonoi’s expression of terror became clear, they had already been vanquished. The rest of the Black Dragons were quickly discovered to have been eliminated by Draken alone. Soon after Takemichi learned that Christmas was gone and everyone in Toman was still alive, he passed out. Even though Mikey and Draken had just vanquished Black Dragon, Takemichi was the real hero in Mitsuya’s eyes. Both Kokonoi and Inui left, and Hakkai inquired of Taiju about his first experience with loss. After declaring that neither he nor Yuzuha would ever again bow to his authority, he followed Yuzuha out the door.
