Summary of Black Clover Chapter 357
This was made very evident to us when we saw Zenon and Magicula, but ever since Paladin employed pure devil could, we have been left wondering whether or not this stage still applies to them. To get us to guess, I believe Tabata purposefully struck Lucius’ horn in this chapter; yet, if Yuno’s strike had no impact on Lucius’ regeneration ability than Lucius would not have had to parry the attack; this is analogous to the battle between Yami, Asta, and Dante. Dante didn’t avoid Yami’s strike since he could regenerate with Body Magic, but he did avoid Asta’s attack because he couldn’t regenerate under the effects of the anti-magic. We can assume Yuno’s attack is the cause, but it is currently too feeble. I honestly believe Yuno is stronger than he has demonstrated thus far, but we’ll talk more about that in a bit. I get the impression that Yuno would have likely done significant harm to Lucius if he hadn’t halted the attack, which is the sole reason Lucius did. Lucius says that he has taken on Lucifero’s gravitational magic and physical power by absorbing him. In the Black Clover version of Lucius, Lucifero possesses superhuman strength. I think it’s appropriate to draw parallels between this and the time Asta initially tried to hit Lucifero. Smaller details also suggest that it was difficult to black Lucifero against Asta in the Spade Kingdom. Yuno and Lucius’ hands tremble quite a bit, while Asta’s sword and hand appear to be frozen, suggesting that Lucifero has complete control over the sword. Asta was unable to use his might to control the sword.
While Lucifer’s control caused his entire body to tremble, in the case of Yuno and Lucius, only their swords are trembling, suggesting that Yuno is relatively calm while the power is channelled through the sword to affect Lucius, making it difficult for him to maintain the block because of Yuno’s constant pulling pressure. And Yuno’s facial expressions are extremely every day; there is no hint that he is in any problem or doubts that he will win, therefore I think this is a very little element that shows us Yuno is even stronger than we presently give him credit for. Despite this knowledge, he nevertheless manages to compel Lucius to parry his assault and even chop off one of his horns. It was at this point that Lucius stopped making faces and started taking the battle seriously. Since the chain is typically only seen from the front, Yuno’s necklace stands out more than usual in this panel. Even still, this new perspective suggests that Tabata may have intended for the necklace to play a significant role when he originally sketched Yuno. When Tabata thinks about Yuno or sketches him, the necklace is constantly in the back of his mind because he knows he will use it soon. This is why it stands out in the picture he drew, even though we didn’t get a frontal view of Yuno. I take it to be a significant indication, and it gives me hope that the Magic stone has some sort of new magical skill, or that the Demon Magic makes use of negative mana. Furthermore, he presumably has additional new stuff he hasn’t shown yet, in addition to the likely power-up from the magic stone.
Many fans in the community more than two years ago speculated that it could be the fairy form with a bow and arrow like the final spirit dives the final weapon; well, the bow & arrow have already been confirmed, & the fairy form isn’t too unlikely now that he literally created fairies with Neverland. We then turned to Yami, Jack, and Morgan; it seems that William was almost successful in closing Jack’s wound, which is unexpected, but as I indicated before, there is little hope for him without Mimosa due to his severe blood loss. There was a flashback to Jack’s past, likely from when he first met Yami & Morgan; it appears to have been their first mission together, and it was at this very moment that we saw that the captain was kidnapped by Zenon, but now the full scene has been revealed as Jack lies on the ground contemplating his death. Morgan appears and reminds Yami that they are on a mission, at which point he scolds Yami for joining together with others, which was an issue for Yami and Jack in the way that they thought together against their opponent. Some of the other Magic Knights began raving about Morgan, claiming that his abilities rank among the best of the new generation and that he and another Magic Knight, who specializes in both light and dark Magic, form a formidable new dream team. That light, according to them, is one of the most potent magical elements. It wasn’t the first time, and I agree with it in principle; yet, with the exception of Spirit and Devil Magic, etc., all the properties of daily Magic are the same. In my opinion, Light Magic is the most potent of all the many types of magic, and I also think Star Magic is pretty much overpowering. These Magic lights even employ the word “unknown” to describe Yami’s enigmatic black Magic. We’re aware that it’s not completely unheard of in the Land of the Sun, but among the Yami Clan, it’s one of the most prevalent Magic skills.

About Chapter 358
In the opening moments of the new Black Clover chapter, Lucius deftly blocks an assault from Yuno. Lucius is never in any actual danger, and Yuno never badly hurts him, as long as Lucius keeps his emotions the same. I’m not surprised that he had no issue with the attack because he was still laughing in the previous chapter and was quite enthusiastic at the conclusion. And yet, Yuno still manages to sever Lucius’ horn; we don’t get to see if it regrows, but we do know that attacks of the same stage work, like anti-magic when facing Devils, making it harder for them to regrow after being struck.
