Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 217: A Review
Later in the chapter, Yorozu and Sukuna continue conversing, with Sukuna telling Yoruzu that she can’t possibly live against him. The two immediately begin fighting, and I want to highlight how different Sukuna is and looks with this conversation; he doesn’t seem his normal wicked ink on itself. Yorozu and Sukuna’s dynamic reminds me of Yor and Loid’s in Spy X Family; they have a strange love-hate relationship, but they’re still a couple. Yorozuu exclaims that Angel was there and she didn’t notice his presence; by “there,” I assume she means “on the rooftop.” Yorozu goes on to say that perceptions and the hatred that resulted from them could never overcome the power of love. At this point, we got a glimpse into the depths of Sukuna and Yorozu’s relationship; Yorozu asks Sukuna what he will give her if he is defeated by her and survives, and Sukuna answers, “everything.” Perhaps I’m stretching, but all this talk of love and giving something everything reminds me a lot of Uta and Rika, and the way that the lines are typed out in the way that is spelt As Yorozu suddenly asks whether they may be married, Sukna responds she is free to do anything she wants. The chemistry between them is fantastic; in this chapter, we see a side of Sukuna we haven’t seen before—almost a softer side—which, as it sounds, is a contradiction in terms, given that Sukuna and sensitivity often don’t go together.
Wedlock of Sukuna and Yorozu
Seeing this as confirmation, Yorozu gets into a tizzy declaring that the villagers will be set free, at the very least for the wedding, and begins organising the reception, which will inevitably involve the decapitation and hanging of the village’s most eligible bachelors.
There’s a flashback of three severed heads hanging from a tree; I’m guessing they represent Yuuji, Uta, and Gojo, the three persons that come to mind when I think of people who could be able to battle Sukuna and possibly beat him. This is not going to be confirmed by anyone, but it is crazy to think about, and I don’t think many people have even considered it: later on, we learn that Uraume is also a reincarnated sorcerer. We already knew that Uraume is from the Heian Era, but this is the first official confirmation that they have taken over a body.
Many fans have wondered how Uraume has survived this long, but Yorozu’s claim that he is a reincarnation suggests that he and Kenjaku have been exchanging bodies—whether exactly like Sukuna or not is unclear, but it is nevertheless an intriguing tidbit. We also discover that Monkey Brain Pottage is either Sukuna’s or Yorozu’s meal, which made me think of Kenjaku, who is fond of referring to people as “monkeys,” and that Uraume was Sukuna’s official chef. Gege had previously told us this during an interview. There’s one more thing that might throw people off, as it did me: in one panel, Yoruzu and Sukuna seem to be cuddling, but it’s unclear whether or not this is real. Sukuna’s disgusted expression suggests that it’s real, but if she’s just imagining it, then perhaps Sukuna would give in and allow this closeness.
Immediately following this, Sukuna calls forth his version of the Holy Dogs, which include numerous canines that have taken on liquidy forms and a fourth that materialises from his robe, cape, or whatever you want to call it, and which looks like a cross between a gorilla & a bulldog. There is just one monster child, yet Yorozu manages to evade all of the attacks that were thrown against him. Yorozu abruptly ceases her attacks & asks Sukuna if the technique he just used was his or the vessel’s technique & why he isn’t using the “Shrine” instead. Sukuna explains that to fully sync Megumi’s soul, he must cross Tsumiki’s body with the Ten Shadow Technique, to carve the scar into Megumi’s soul.

There have been no leaks or spoilers for the next chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, but it appears that the chapter after this one will focus on the Heian period, one of the most intriguing and anticipated storylines of the whole series.

About Chapter 218
Are you looking forward to reading Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 218 when it comes out? Well, then, know that you can count on us! The most recent chapter was fantastic as always, and I believe that the conflict between Yorozu and Sukuna may finally lead people into that delicious Heian Period flashback that we have been yearning for so much. The latest episode opens up in the stadium, where Sukuna and Yorozu are engaged in combat. Yorozu recently stated that he has a significant edge over that physical manifestation based on how he sees the world and Sukuna bets that he could flip that perception if he so desired. I do not doubt that Sukuna can change back into that shape whenever he wants, much as in Dragon Ball Z.
I do believe that he can transform on his initiative, and we will probably see this if someone pushes him too far during a fight. We first saw him change when he transformed and tore off Angel’s arm a few days ago, and Kenjaku & Yorozu have now also described that he can change his face back or if he was going to switch his face back. After mentioning that the same might be true of Yorozu, the last chapter is practically overflowing with Sukuna; from this, I infer that, with enough strength, it is possible to alter one’s vessel back into one’s natural shape.
