About Episode 22
Next week, we’ll come back to the sports anime Blue Lock with the publication of the 22nd and last episode of the series. So far, this season has been fantastic, and we have no doubt that, given the show’s popularity, we will soon hear that a second season has been ordered. After observing Bachira’s reaction to Tokimitsu’s request, Tokimitsu realised he’d been too forward and apologised to him. If they follow Juubee’s instructions and feed him the ball, he will undoubtedly win the game with a hat trick of goals.
As Bachira confirmed that Rin had told them to stop talking and start killing people instantly, we knew they had progressed to the fourth and final phase of the game. Tokimitsu is taken aback when Juubee suddenly asks the other team member what he does with his hair.
The man replies that he uses the standard amenities available in the shared bathroom, to which Juubee’s unsatisfied curiosity leads to further probing questions. The entire crew stares at Juubee like he’s lost his mind at one point, and if it wasn’t the funniest portion of the show, we don’t know what was.
A Review of Blue Lock Episode 21
Chigiri Hyoma and Juubee met for the first time in the last episode. Juubee starts talking to Chigiri by praising his hair. Once Chigiri witnesses Juubee’s antics, he begins to question the team’s abilities and asks Isagi whether they are any good at soccer; Isagi assures him that they are. Shouei is so irritated by Juubee’s antics that he orders the squad to get into shape for the game. Because of Juubee’s illness, Aoshi apologises and begs if they may take a rain check, but Shouei refuses and threatens to replace him. Like Juubee, Aoshi had an outburst in which he predicts that an authoritarian person like Shouei would eventually rule society and that everyone will live happily ever after.
Shouei tells Isaagi they’re switching formations, at which point Isaagi picks up Aoshi and starts insulting him. After asking to trade places with Barou, Isaagi is met with an apology and a request from Nagi. Nagi advises him that if he doesn’t do anything spectacular, then he might as well pick Roe. He says he wants to face Itoshi Rin in a match so he can improve his skills. Isaagi concurs but cautions that if he loses it, he would be devoured by everyone else on the pitch and crushed by himself. As a result, Isaagi will face Bachira in a matchup, and both players have vowed to give it their all and hurl all they have at him from the get-go. Both players were confident in their ability and certain that their squad would come out on top of the competition. Although Bachira does his lightning-fast scissors, Isaagi is able to anticipate his next move and put him in a precarious situation.
