Season 3 of Dr Stone will be directed by Shinya Iino. Prior to that, he had a job with the Made In Abyss anime. So, followers can predict the season’s overall quality right now. Neither the composer nor the name of the opening theme has been announced as of yet. Information on the anime’s staff is similarly scarce at this time.
Explicit Announcement of When to Expect It
The teaser for the upcoming third season of Dr Stone confirms that the show will premiere on Crunchyroll in April of 2023.
Whether it’s Light Yagami in Death Note, who outwits the world’s finest detective by constantly preparing 10 moves ahead, or Professor in Money Heist, who always plans two steps ahead, it’s clear that being one step ahead of the game is crucial. But there’s one anime character whose scientific expertise no human, even one who spent 10 billion years studying science, could hope to match. One such anime is Dr Stone, which brought us Ishigami Senku, the most enlightened anime character, and a plot that would pique the interest of any science nerd. The animation Dr Stone is based on the manga of the same name by Japanese author Riichiro Inagaki and South Korean artist Boichi.
The 1st season of the anime aired on TV from July to December of 2019, while the second season, which covers the Stone Wars arc, premiered at the beginning of 2021. After two amazing and highly enjoyable seasons, the anime went dark for a while until returning in July 2022 with a special episode called “Dr Stone: Ryuusui,” which revived the show to its former brilliance. Fans can’t wait for the third season to begin so they may see Senku’s triumph in reestablishing society. What follows is a complete rundown of the forthcoming season of Dr Stone.
Plotline for Dr Stone Third Season
Dr Stone explores how 3,700 years flew past in the blink of an eye and how contemporary civilisation was terrified by a mysterious light in the sky in the first two seasons and the special episode. Senku Ishigami looks to be the first person to wake up, and he appears to have stayed awake the entire time, counting every second before setting off on his mission to restore mankind. Unfortunately, he also reawakens Tsukasa, who, despite his knowledge of Senku’s true mission, has been socialised to hate adults. Senku manages to get away from Tsukasa, and then he stumbles across the community his father, who was in space throughout the disaster, had created.
After defeating Tsukasa and securing the Revival Fluid cave, he meets Hyoga, who plans to dominate the new world. He defeats him with Tsukasa’s aid, although the latter is injured in the process. To rescue Tsukasa and learn the cause of the petrification that destroyed civilization, Senku constructs a ship and sets sail towards the New World. After being revived, the world’s finest captain, Ryusui Nanami, has joined Senku on his new journey to find the origin of Revival Fluid and rescue seven billion lives. They appear to be closing in on their goal, but we’ll have to see what the rest of Season 3 brings to find out for sure.
The Third Season’s Cast and Crew of “Dr Stone”
Due to the new location, we won’t see many returning characters from the first two seasons. However, virtually all of the major players will be back. Senku Ishigami’s voice actor, Yuusuke Kobayashi, has been on board from the show’s inception and will remain so for future seasons. The actor’s previous credits include Yona of the Dawn’s Su Won and Beach: Thousand-Year Blood War’s Royd Llyod. Ryouta Suzuki, who voices Nanami Ryuusui, seems to have a significant part in Season 2.
The actor that voices this intriguing role has also provided vocals for characters in such hit anime as Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Fena: Pirate Princess, Food Wars, and Sword Art Online. Additional plot weight will be provided by Kengo Kawanashi, Gen Satou, Manami Numakura, Makoto Furukawa, and Kana Ichinose, who will provide their voices for significant characters such as Gen Asagiri, Chrome, Kohaku, Taiju, and Yuzuriha. Maaya Sakamoto (Francois), Ayumu Murase (Ginrou), Tomoaki Maeno (Ginrou), Atsumi Tanezaki (Niki Hanada), Mugihito (Kaseki), Yasuhiro Mamiya (Magma), Kensho Ono (Ukyou Saionji), and Karin Takahashi all provide their voices to the show (Suika).
Since English dubs are usually delayed and published after the anime’s first airing, we have no details on the voice actors that will be providing the voiceovers. However, you are welcome to have a peek at the crew who made this masterpiece possible. Iino Shinya, who directed the first two seasons of the anime, will not return to lead the creative team for the third season. The new director, Shuuhei Matsushita, is no stranger to TMS Entertainment, having previously handled the outstanding special episode “Dr Stone: Ryuusui” for the animation company.
His efforts in Outbreak Company, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and Grimoire of Zero have all brought him widespread acclaim. Sound Director Jin Atagawa is back, while series composers Yuki Kanesaka, Tatsuya Katou, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi will keep the score as captivating as ever. So far, this is the only member of the production staff that has been officially announced, but considering the fact that several significant roles changed hands between seasons one and two, we should probably expect further shakeups in the coming years.
