Upon Luffy’s return to the battlefield, the tides of battle shifted decisively in their favour. He fought Kaido fiercely on his own, but he also urged Mononosuke to overcome his fear and battle to the finish. The next episode, “A Legend All Over Again! Luffy’s Fist Roar in the Sky,” will continue the conflict and feature a few instances of Zoro and Sanji fighting King and Queen. In addition, the promo for One Piece Episode 1051 hints at the reappearance of Orochi Kurozumi.
When did the previous events of One Piece take place?
As the previous episode began, Yamato and Luffy launched a coordinated attack on Kaido from above. Luffy praised Yamato for temporarily restraining Kaido, and Yamato appeared relieved to have him again. Taking on his dragon form, Kaido was perplexed as to the identity of the pink dragon. Mononosuke was at first nervous about coming forward but eventually worked up the guts to do so. Hitetsu and Toko then moved the action to the Flower Capital, where they attended the festival. While his father was fighting in Onagashima, Hitetsu sounded concerned. Mary, in the meantime, let Queen and the others in on what was happening up on the roof.
A victory for Inuarashi and Nekomamushi against Jack and Perospero was shown, but as the moon disappeared behind clouds, the two reverted to their original appearances. Once back on the rooftop, Luffy instructed Kaido to construct a fire blast to use against Mononosuke. Fearful, Mononosuke instead narrowly avoided being hit by him. Mononosuke did as Luffy instructed and bit Kaido; however, this infuriated Kaido, and just as he was about to launch another assault, Luffy smacked him in the face. At the episode’s conclusion, Luffy reassured Mononosuke that he had nothing to worry about.
