Together, Takemichi and Chifuyu have decided to join forces with Kisaki and Hanma for the Christmas Showdown. If Takemichi can’t stop thinking about Hinata, how successful will the covert operation be? Time to air, and how long till we get to see Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 6!
Previously on Tokyo Revengers, Season 2 Episode 5:
Kisaki argues that the only way to defeat Taiju and the Black Dragon Gang is for Takemichi and Chifuyu to join forces. Even though Chifuyu is dead set on teaming up with Kisaki, Takemichi has no choice but to accept his help and cooperate with him. Takemichi thinks that they will accomplish more by collaborating with Kisaki. They can use this chance to plot up a plan to expel Kisaki from Toman, and they’ll need all the aid they can get to take down the Black Dragon and stop Hakkai from killing his brother. Thankfully, Takemichi succeeds in convincing Chifuyu to join his scheme. The fact that Chifuyu would be spending Christmas Eve with criminals rather than stunning women has led him to quip that the holiday will be a miserable one for him. Takemichi and Chifuyu soon after meet with Kisaki and Hanma to break the news that they would work together till Christmas. Chifuyu elaborates that they just care about Hakkai’s safety and have no desire to be friends with Kisaki and Hanma (whom they loathe with a passion).
However, Kisaki and Hanma find the fact that they will be working together as a team on Christmas Eve to be rather humorous. Takemichi and his friends Hinata and Naoto take a stroll home from school the next day. They stop at a playground and Hinata expresses her excitement for Christmas to Takemichi. Takemichi thinks he messed up again when he finds out he has two commitments on that crucial day. Worse, he can’t remember what he and Hina had planned. Takemichi says Kisaki’s name because Naoto sounds like him, and Hina agrees, but Naoto stops them and says he wants to go home right immediately since he dislikes wasting time. Takemichi is surprised to see that Hina is on his side. He inquired as to Hina’s familiarity with Kisaki, to which she said that she did, having attended the same elementary cram school with him. Kisaki is shown sitting next to Hina in an advanced class at cram school in a flashback. He not only answered the teacher’s questions on the board correctly but also excelled at the primary school level nationally. While the rest of her classmates see Kisaki negatively, Hina thinks of him as the best and brightest student in her class.
Hina also reflects on the many evenings spent strolling home with Kisaki. Takemichi reveals to Hina that Kisaki is now the commander of the rogue ship Toman. However, Hina thinks Takemichi and Kisaki will get along fine since Kisaki is a wonderful person at heart. Now, Hina tells us that she was with Kisaki the first time she met Takemichi. On the way back from summer cram school, a few sixth graders were seen tormenting a cat for laughs. At the moment, it was Hina who intervened to prevent the children from further mischief, while Kisaki watched from the sidelines. The youngsters stopped harassing the cat and turned their attention to Hina, where Takemichi joined the picture. Takemichi, donning a crimson cape and resembling a superhero, suddenly materialised and kicked one of the youngsters in the chest. Despite his fear and tears, Takemichi stood up for Hina and protected her from the children. Takemichi now feels it was dumb of him to help, yet to Hinata, he was more incredible than the winner.
Hina also admitted his feelings for Takemichi on that day. Hinata had one more reminder for Takemichi before they parted ways: their Christmas Eve rendezvous in Umishita Park. Takemichi will be able to keep both of his commitments if the battle with the Black Dragon Gang takes place on Christmas night. Takemichi, on the other hand, remembers that he and Hinata ended their relationship on Christmas Eve at Umishita Park. He’s not sure what made him decide to break up with Hinata, but he’s confident that nothing will make him change his mind. Naoto’s prospective father, Masato Tachibana, suddenly emerges and claims to be Hina and Naoto’s biological father. Masato proposed a meeting in a coffee shop, and Takemichi accepted. When Takemichi expresses anxiety, Masato reassures him that he would not bite off his head. At the outset of their chat, Masato expresses gratitude to Takemichi for helping to alter Naoto’s opinion of his profession as a police officer, from which he frequently returns home exhausted.
Takemichi was taken aback when Masato said he would also urge him to break up with Hina since he is a thug and can make his daughter’s life miserable. On Christmas Eve, as Masato had hoped, Takemichi broke his relationship with Hinata. He also informed Hina he had moved on from her since he was in love with someone else. With tears streaming down her face, Hinata savagely pounded Takemichi to the floor. And she made it clear that she doesn’t appreciate Takemichi’s courage, either. Though he knows that ending things with Hina is for the best, Takemichi can’t help but cry as she leaves. Prior to the episode’s conclusion, Takemichi visits a diner where he is joined by Kisaki, Hanma, and Chifuyu. Plans for convincing Hakkai not to kill his brother and beating down Taiju are discussed as Christmas Eve approaches.
