Even though the next episode of Jujutsu Kaisen isn’t due out until February 6th, spoilers have already begun appearing online, as is customary. The problem with Tsumiki is explained, and Sukuna is back, in this chapter. Finally, the chapter closes on an unexpected and devastating note for both Yuji and Megumi. Megumi and Yuji allowed players to leave the colony for 100 points and a substitute in the previous chapter. However, when they sought to remove Tsumiki from the Culling Game, she used those 100 points to create a rule permitting free admission and exit, suggesting that a sorcerer from long ago had taken possession of her. Raw scans and spoilers for Chapter 212 of Jujutsu Kaisen reveal that Sukuna fulfils his binding pledge and returns for an unexpected reason related to Megumi.
Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 212 state that it opens with a flashback to the first time Megumi visited Tsumiki at the start of the Culling Game. Tsumiki said that after emerging from her coma, it was difficult to move since her muscles had atrophied. Megumi’s reassuring his sibling brought the family together in a time of laughter. The events of the preceding chapter are then retold from Yuji’s perspective. When Yuji saw Megumi and Tsumiki together again, he reasoned that the next step would be to have Gojo unsealed. He expressed gratitude to both his instructor and his friend for their trust in him. Tsumiki, however, petitioned to have the regulation added, which caught everyone off guard.
To which Tsumiki replies, “After Kogane added the rule, Megumi anxiously asked who she was.” Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 212 show that reincarnated sorcerers may use the memories of the bodies they inhabit to trick people into thinking they are the original owners of those memories. The impostor claims they haven’t battled in a thousand years and are ready to confront Sukuna whenever they want. Yuji and Hana begin to chase the impostor as moth-like wings emerge from Tsumiki’s back and the latter flies away. At that same time, Sukuna says the phrase “Extension” which serves as the keyword for his Binding Vow, and he abruptly makes a hard transition to Yuji. Sukuna quickly knocks Hana out and reveals the terms of the Binding Vow to Megumi, who is understandably taken aback by the revelation.
After charging one of his fingers with cursed energy, he rips it off and declares that everything from here on out is a gamble. In spite of the fact that the Binding Vow forbids him to do injury to or murder anybody else during his one minute of power over the body, he is free to do so to Yuji. Spoilers for Chapter 212 of Jujutsu Kaisen state that Megumi instantly tries to summon Mahoraga, but Sukuna covers his lips and interrupts the incantation. And then he gives Megumi the finger that he cursed. Following a minute of unconsciousness, Yuji comes to and discovers that Sukuna has seized control of Megumi’s body.
Observations
Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 212 reveal that whoever is now controlling Tsumiki’s body is both formidable and familiar with Sukuna’s past. Whether or not this person is the Game Master is unknown, although they appear to be from the same time period as Noritoshi Kamo, Sukuna, and perhaps Angel as well. As of now, we know little about their curse method, but we do know that they have translucent wings reminiscent of those of a moth. Sukuna has clearly been waiting for the right moment, as hinted at in the teasers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 212. Whether or whether possessing Megumi’s body was his initial goal, he is currently benefiting far too greatly from it.
Yuji and Megumi may be weakened enough mentally to give Sukuna a footing if they experience stress from battling the one in Tsumiki’s body while he possesses their brother’s body. Since Megumi wasn’t meant to serve as a vessel like Yuji was, he should put up no fight against Sukuna and let the Curse use his body any way it pleases. Despite Angel’s will to eliminate Sukuna, she will not murder Megumi because of Hana’s feelings for him. Angel would have killed Sukuna had he been in Yuji’s body.
Concluding Ideas
Whether or whether Sukuna truly cares for Megumi has long been a source of speculation in Jujutsu Kaisen. Even while it’s obvious he had something special in mind for the kid, it’s quite improbable that this was it. He doesn’t require a powerful sorceress like Megumi to act as his vessel because anybody can do it. As Yuji lacked a natural cursed skill, it is unclear if Sukuna is able to influence the curse technique of the body he now inhabits.
In such a case, having the Ten Shadows at his disposal is an advantage that Sukuna just cannot ignore. However, as of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 212, it is quite unlikely that Megumi would survive this. Future chapters will reveal Yuji’s reaction.
