A Review of Kengan Omega Chapter 194
Later in the chapter, Koga takes a taxi driver to the Outside, the driver says that the Inside’s sphere of influence expands over time like a living thing, and then, right when Koga has arrived at the gates of the Inside and I’m expecting this moron to go in all by himself, the taxi pulls away. A Kengan match has been requested by Haruo. Big, jacked, and ripe Okubonawoya appears to be facing off against the slimmer, but still jacked, Okubonawoya in a Kenga bout. When Okubo’s opponent bowed out at the last minute, Haruo says he saw Sekibayashi Jun step in as a substitute. Not only that, but bey he accepted this match for Koga, and he likely intends to use it as a teaching moment.
Pro wrestling style, Sekibayashi throws a clothesline to start the bout and a superb right hand to close the chapter. This was a good chapter, and I always laugh when the narrative thickens or becomes too melodramatic because in case of emergency… here is a Kengan Fight. I don’t hate it, and I kind of like it, really. After the most recent arc, I think it would be a fantastic time to introduce more buffer Kenga battles, some hot matchups that we missed out on in the original Kengan Ashura, but oh well, this is a decent and very spicy matchup. In this battle, I’m pulling for Okubo because he’s a fan favourite and because, according to my power rankings, he’s the more powerful of the two.
However, I’m still confused as to why he’s still dressed like a clown in the face of the entire purgatory thing. In my opinion, the community puts too much emphasis on power rankings. Sure, there are some fighters who are obviously better than the rest, like Ohma, and some who you shouldn’t expect to win much of anything, like the medicine man, but the rest of the fighters who fall somewhere in the middle are pretty much like the real world.
About Chapter 195
Do you look forward to reading Kengan Omega Chapter 195? Well, buddy, it looks like we’re both in the same boat. If you stick with us until the end of this post, we’ll let you know when the next chapter of your favourite combat manga series is coming out and how you can read it online. But first, let’s review what’s already transpired in the Kengan Omega plot. At the beginning of this chapter, we see Koga pleading with Metsudo to join him and the rest of the recovery crew on their mission Inside. Misasa warns him not to leave since he may never return to the surface.
Having read up on the Kengen Universe, I am aware that the Inside is a major factor and is apparently more hazardous than ever before, and that this danger extends far beyond simple differences in strength. It’s a culture that could leave Koga shaken up or whatever, but are we really going to pretend that so many of our main characters didn’t originate there? I believe Koga would be OK if Himuro and the mysterious female who always seems to be there came from the Inside. Koga is given some alone time in which to reflect. It’s fascinating to see how much of a change he’s through from his impetuous beginnings to his more measured disposition later in the series, especially given the perilous circumstances in which his companion Gaoh finds himself.
