The doctors declined to tell her anything about the Villains as she was officially a prisoner. They cautioned her that her situation was so serious that her wounds reopening would probably spell death. Lady Nagant, however, was adamant about continuing to aid Midoriya.
Rock Lock, realising the gravity of the situation, assumed responsibility for her and gave her permission to rescue the youngster, equipping her with a gadget with details on the criminals and their whereabouts. Back in the current day, Lady Nagant’s wounds resurface when she fires a shot at Shigaraki in Chapter 379 of My Hero Academia. However, she decides to assist Deku even more because he provided her reason to hope and a means to rekindle her younger, more hopeful self. Her bullet ricochets off Shigaraki’s torso just as his other hand is about to strike the earth.
Tomura Shigaraki’s reappearance in popular culture
From within Shigaraki’s physical form, AFO scolds her for playing the hero after killing so many bystanders. But Tomura starts to show his true colours, mocking AFO for not exploiting its subjects’ vulnerabilities to gain power. He is aware that AFO intended to take advantage of his relationship with All Might and Nana Shimura, and subsequently intended to leverage Tenko’s animosity toward them in order to steal One for All. Tomura, however, detested the merger stage the most and reclaimed power by suppressing his identity. When AFO finally loses control and requests Kurogiri to take him to his physical body in the Gunga Mountains, the nomu starts babbling incoherently about buddies and Shigaraki.
Tomura continues by saying he is not dependent on One for All since his original intent has not been tainted. The Shimura family has a profound impact on the lives of both Tenko Shimura and Tomura Shigaraki. Given that this universe birthed this hellscape, both characters have an innate desire to wipe it out completely. Tomura reclaims absolute power and recasts himself as the legendary Shigaraki. He tells Midoriya that he will be saved by destroying the world. Tomura may now escape his figurative floating prison because he has healed. Deku, weighing his options, decides to use BlackWhip to launch himself and Tomura off UA and into the solid ground below in My Hero Academia Chapter 379. He states that he cannot ignore the youngster who was pleading for assistance, nor can he allow Shigaraki to succeed in his destructive ambitions.
Closing Considerations
In My Hero Academia chapter 379, it is made abundantly evident that Lady Nagant’s wounds have opened back up, and she is in a very precarious state. Since her injuries were so severe before, it’s not out of the question that she’s nearing the end of her life now. Although her shots were ineffective against Shigaraki, they did provide Izuku some much-needed time to collect her thoughts. In addition, Lady Nagant provided Tomura with an opening to reclaim power. Tenko Shimura’s identity was revealed to be buried within the Shigaraki/AFO hybrid in chapter 361. Tomura did such on purpose, as shown in My Hero Academia 379, and his strategy was successful.
Deku may have more success connecting with and dissuading Tomura off his path of absolute destruction if he adopts this hybrid of Tenko Shimura and Tomura Shigaraki as his genuine character. On the other hand, AFO appears to be on the decline. He told Hawks that the time his body spends in the Gunga Mountains is limited and that it will eventually vanish. He had put all of his hopes on Tomura following out his wish, but now that his psyche has been removed from the fused body, it seems that AFO has no means to return. As of My Hero Academia chapter 379, AFO is poised to fade totally from existence unless an external trigger interferes.
