There have been rumours of a showdown between Asta and Yrul, and the next chapter is almost out, so spoilers are out there as well. Asta has rescued Ichika from the fatal attack, but now it is Ichika’s turn to confront his fears—and unexpectedly, the only thing he has to be afraid of is himself. But his efforts paid off, and he eventually overcame that obstacle, at which point he became determined to rescue Sister Lily.
Chapter 348 of Black Clover Spoilers
The editor’s note for chapter 348 of Black Clover reads, “Asta is not hesitant anymore.” At the beginning of the chapter, Lily’s shocked response to seeing Asta is evidence that she still thinks he is dead following Lucius’s attack. Liebe and Asta speculate that the illusion Ichika experienced resembled a family member. Yrul then enters the scene and seems to belittle the enemy by remarking that the human heart is weak, before chiding Ryuzen and commenting that they are pathetic despite being the strongest in the land. He elaborates that everyone, even Asta, is susceptible to developing irrational phobias in the face of unfamiliar situations. When he utilises his hallucination ability on Asta, the latter is forced to confront his greatest fear: his own reflection.
This is only an optical illusion ‘I can’t become the Wizard King,’ Asta says. To Yrul’s astonishment, Asta appears to be afraid of himself. Nonetheless, he manipulates Asta out of his fear so that he might receive acclaim from Lucius after killing Asta. This is only an optical illusion The conversation turns to Asta’s fears, and he admits that he feels inferior to Yuno’s skill level. However, Asta’s subconscious reveals that he was always afraid of being weak and that this was his greatest insecurity. As the illusion’s influence becomes stronger on Asta, he uses his Zetten to slash it away, claiming that he has just cut out his inferior self via the might of his training. Yosuga, Asta’s trainer, encourages him by noting that the latter has “discovered what he was lacking.” Asta recognises his frailties and his internal monologue tells him he is not talented in any way and must therefore strive diligently to improve himself via education and experience.
There is no time for fear; he must instead concentrate on forging his strength to triumph and safeguard his family. He must become stronger than Lucius, even if he loses to him. To be sure, he envisioned a Wizard King similar to that. Yrul intends to kill him with a single blow, but Asta’s steely focus and determination allow him to evade the strike. After Ichika notices a significant shift in the enemy’s Yoryoku, Yosuga explains that Asta severed the foe’s power source. Earlier, he explains, Asta would become overly concerned. However, using Zetten, you need simply detect your foe’s impending strike to avoid it. Asta will undoubtedly prevail, as his Anti-Magic can nullify his foe’s magical effects. Moving on to Asta’s assault, he says, “I can see it,” indicating that he has learned the capacity to predict when the Zetten must be completed, just as Yosuga had indicated. At the chapter’s end, Asta turns to Sister Lily and makes good on his promise to save her.
