In Review: Episode 13
Mini-fields are adjusted based on the total number of participants in the third and final rounds of the second selection process. Mini-goals also include Blue Lock men with the same set of talents as the original goalies. It’s a rivalry game, and the winner is determined by who scores five goals first. The victor will take a member from the loser’s team. Yoichi’s white squad faces Itoshi Rin’s red team in the inaugural three-on-three rivalry match. Yoichi wants to advance in the programme at Rin’s expense, so he may join their team and take Rin. Early on, Bachira shows off his scissors abilities by dribbling fiercely against Tokimitsu. Bachira then quickly sends the ball to Nagi, who quickly sends it to Yoichi, who is now in shooting position.

With his improved, more direct shot, Yoichi immediately scores the game’s opening goal.
Even as Yoichi’s enthusiasm grows, Rin’s weariness grows as he watches their mediocre game. Rin, in contrast to Yoichi and the rest, sees soccer not as a ball game but as a battleground. This is why Rin believes Yoichi’s squad is hopeless: they lack the necessary firepower. Rin surprised Yoichi, Bachira, and Nagi by scoring his team’s first goal with a strong shot from the kick-off area. Furthermore, Rin claims that he doesn’t care about anyone on the field, friend or foe, because they’re all just half-baked NPCs to him.
And since a loss in soccer, in Rin’s eyes, is the same as death, it’s essentially the end of everything. As the game proceeds, Aryu begins to flaunt his glitzy soccer abilities by stealing the ball from Nagi with a powerful jump and then stealing it from Yoichi with his long arms.

Finally, Aryu scores the second goal for the red team, and Yoichi can’t believe what he’s seeing. At 2-1, Tokimitsu of the red team is starting to feel the strain and fear of not scoring a goal. Suddenly, his physique of pure muscle transforms into a bullet shape, and he is just another soccer monster. Tokimitsu scored for the red squad by taking the ball away from Bachira and then running past Yoichi. After that, Yoichi knows that Rin’s team is packed with monsters that use their soccer skills as highly specialised weapons. In spite of their lack of communication and cooperation, Rin’s squad nevertheless fights to utilise their respective strengths to defeat opponents like Team Z. At the same time, Nagi expresses his gratitude to Yoichi for facilitating his meeting with the other talented soccer players. And he assures Yoichi that he’ll shake things up by offering a different tactic to use against Rin’s group in combat. Aryu and Tokimitsu can counteract all of their opponents’ weapons, therefore Nagi has devised a strategy where they all stay within 15 metres of each other.

Bachira will serve as the base of the triangle, guiding the other two players to the area just in front of the goal, where they may begin to chip away at the opposition. Yoichi and Nagi will play one-touch soccer since they are unable to maintain possession for long. It will only work, though, if Nagi’s touch and Yoichi’s straight play are both spot on. With Aryu covering Nagi, Yoichi is in a position to finish off the play with a straight shot. Unfortunately for Nagi, Rin can see right through his ploy. In fact, Rin was able to prevent a goal by Yoichi in a flash, all while complaining about the latter’s shoddy play. So, Bachira gives the ball to Nagi, who puts it in the back of the net for the white team. Rin fires a strong shot while Yoichi’s crew is still disputing what happened, making it clear that he has no more patience for their antics. Yoichi’s insight into Rin’s scheme was unexpected, and it worked out well for him because he foiled Rin’s scheme. Then, Rin scores another goal for his team with a vertical straight shot from the corner-kick area.

Yoichi, after being prodded by Rin, opts for a last-ditch counterattack and goes for the win.
And Yoichi sees that Rin has been manipulating the field the whole time, fooling him with false goal zones. In a heated three-on-three matchup between Rin’s red team and Yoichi’s white side, Rin comes out on top with a 5–2 victory. Furthermore, Bachira’s dribbling talents were the deciding factor in why Rin’s team targeted Yoichi’s losing squad. When Bachira follows the rules, Yoichi and Nagi face off against each other in a two-on-two match. Now that Yoichi has lost Bachira’s soft touches, he must work to reclaim them.
