Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. JST is when you can expect to see the release of One Piece Episode 1046. Fans are itching to go back to the Onigashima Raid after the series took a little break, and the teaser has them quite excited about the prospect of Zoro and Sanji rejoining the fray. Though the One Piece Episode 1046 trailer seems to indicate that, there is currently no confirmed spoiler information for the episode, so this is still a matter of conjecture. But at least the episode’s airtime and premiere date may be officially planned for now.
When/where/how to see it in its upcoming release?
The Japanese broadcast of One Piece Episode 1046 is scheduled for Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 9:30 am JST (11:30 a.m. EST). This equates to a Saturday night local release time for a subset of worldwide fans. Although most foreign viewers, including Japanese viewers, won’t be able to see the show until Sunday morning local time, it will be available internationally on Saturday. As a result of differences in time zones, the release timing will be different in each location.
About 90 minutes after the episode airs in Japan, it will be available to stream on Crunchyroll for viewers across the world. Unlike Crunchyroll, Funimation still updates its subscribers each week with brand new episodes of the series, but it does so with a far longer wait. As a result, the best place to see the next episode is Crunchyroll.

What to anticipate (speculative)?
Zoro’s wounds are apparently “healing” in preparation for his return to battle with Sanji in One Piece Episode 1046. Zoro’s suffering will be effectively blocked throughout this healing process, but he will still be able to return to the battlefield in a significant role. The two will reportedly begin their battle against the King and Queen of the Beast Pirates in front of their legion of fans.
Also, Luffy’s return to the fight against Kaido might perhaps be updated for them. With practically all other fights in Onigashima having concluded in some fashion, these three fighters are the key remaining players. Yamato and Kaido’s battle, which has only been teased intermittently since it began, will presumably be shown in One Piece Episode 1046. Since Yamato’s Devil Fruit has been a hot issue in the fandom, many people are holding out hope that she will once again face off against Kaido.
