Super Goten and Trunks from Dragon Ball Super
In the lead-up to Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the film about Gohan and Piccolo’s battle against the Red Ribbon Army, the audience was taken aback to learn that Goten and Trunks had grown up. They are now in high school as teens and have taken Gohan’s superhero guise to battle crime as Saiyaman X1 and Saiyaman X2.
Fans are ecstatic about the return of the Shonen brand, even though the manga hasn’t announced how long it will focus on Goten and Trunks’ journey as a prelude to Super Hero. Dragon Ball Super has yet to announce a comeback of its television series, but given the show’s enormous success, anime adaptations of the Moro and Granolah The Survivor Arcs are expected to be greenlit in the near future.
