After last week’s sad flashback, viewers of One Piece Episode 1044 are eager to know what happens next. In the next episode, the TV anime adaptation will return to manga-canon content while also addressing Black Maria’s escalating wrath. In the prior episode, we saw Brook’s memory where he kept thinking about his old team. His goal of joining the Straw Hats will be accomplished, though. How? The conflict between Robin and Black Maria will be key to the upcoming storyline. They’ll keep charging at one another and making a mess of everything. Meanwhile, in the next episode, viewers will find out what happens to Luffy and how the plot develops.

In the opening moments of One Piece episode 1043, Black Maria attacks Robin and Brook and scolds Robin for hitting her mother. She said they were heartless for turning on their loved ones. But Robin pointed out that Brook was also protected from the mist. He said that he had spotted his old gang in the mist. Beasts Pirates members ambushed Brook when he was thinking about his crew and pretended to be Yorki.
Aware that his old team was dead and that he needed to move on, he avoided the assault. Brook told Robin that he occasionally has hallucinations in which his crew is still alive, but that he always comes to terms with their deaths. They had a lot of interests, Robin stated, so he decided to join the Straw Hat Pirates. As they fled, Black Maria lit the ground behind her on fire. She sprang higher than they were and launched a strand of silk towards the roof to halt their progress.
A while later, she began twirling Wanyudo in circles, at which point Robin ordered her to stop, but she refused and instead told Wanyudo to submit. On the other hand, Brook had a sudden epiphany and understood Wanyudo was a living entity, so he sent his soul to him and put out his fires. And so, in a fit of wrath, Black Maria swiped the ceiling, bringing the tiles crashing to the ground. A later reference to Sanji by Black Maria only served to inflame the situation.
One Piece Episode 1044: Spoilers
One Piece Episode 1044 looks like it will continue exploring the manga’s latter chapters, as the preview doesn’t feature any anime-original stuff. Nico Robin’s conflict with Black Maria will proceed in the next episode. The competition has reached its climactic culmination. It’s fascinating to note that the creators of the anime are staying true to the original story by having Robin and Black Maria fight until the finish. While the struggle of the former is explored, the latter component of the Onigashima Raid will also be highlighted.
Fans may rest easy knowing that Luffy will soon return. His eyes will open and his strength will begin to return. As a result, he will keep devouring anything he can get his hands on. On the other hand, Kaidou will keep fighting his daughter, who will be relieved to hear about Luffy. Eventually, the Fifth Emperor will return to the rooftop battlefield on Onigashima.
