The six Vegapunk satellites have been revealed in full in Chapter 1065 of One Piece. It’s possible that Vegapunk is a scientific genius, but even the most brilliant intellect has its limits set by its mortal frame. For this reason, he created a total of six other-selves.
There are six satellites that each stand for a particular facet of his character. In One Piece chapter 1065, we finally get to see all six of them together. How exactly Vegapunk managed this incredible achievement is still a mystery. In any case, he is able to complete his objectives with a large number of human corpses at his disposal. There was even a handful that became iconic in the eyes of their devoted following. In One Piece chapter 1065, we see what his satellites are meant to do.
Each one personifies a distinct facet of Vegapunk culture
When the Straw Hats first landed on Egghead Island, they encountered the first satellite in One Piece chapter 1061. Contradicting earlier claims that he was an old man, a mysterious young female identified herself as Vegapunk. As it happens, Lilith was speaking the truth. Vegapunk managed to create six copies of himself from his original body via some unknown ways. All these satellites are shown in One Piece chapter 1065:
His idea of “good” is embodied by Shaka (Punk-01).
His idea of “evil” is embodied in Lilith (Punk-02).
His “thinking” mode is represented by the Edison (Punk-03) tattoo on his arm.
This Pythagorean (Punk-04) represents his “knowledge” in general.
His urge for “violence” is symbolised by Atlas (Punk-05).
Symbolizes his “greediness,” York (Punk-06)
The initial shell of Vegapunk is known simply as “Stella.” But there is a severe lack of information regarding it. The rest of the satellites are named after legendary people (like Lilith) or real-life innovators (Pythagoras). The whole population presently resides on Egghead, the island of the future that is stuck in the past. Shaka frequently checks in with Lilith by satellite phone, despite their physical separation.
All of them have various purposes
Readers of One Piece have known that each satellite performed a unique function even before Chapter 1065. Protecting the island and stealing treasure from passing pirates are Lilith’s primary responsibilities. This allows Vegapunk to pay for his extensive experiments on Egghead Island. It would appear that Atlas is responsible for maintaining order among the robots. When Lilith approached the Straw Hat Pirates, Shaka gave her the same advice she’d given him: don’t make Zoro and Robin angry. Chapter 1065 of One Piece reveals that Edison and Pythagoras are the brains and brawn behind his scientific research.
Meanwhile, York is responsible for taking care of everything internally. This includes time for eating, sleeping, and restroom breaks. The remaining satellites can keep working now.
Vegapunk is working tirelessly. Vegapunk disassembles himself primarily to facilitate his job. The World Government initially didn’t see him as a danger because he frequently proposed practical solutions, such as using Seastone as a bottom coating to protect ships from Sea Kings. Please note that Sentomaru is intended to be his personal bodyguard. The identity of the satellite he is tasked with protecting is, however, still unknown.
