Tengen and Yuki Tsukumo, as well as Kenjaku and Choso, spent the whole of the prior chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen talking about tactics and planning. When asked at the chapter’s end what he hopes to gain from all this, Kenjaku says it’s all in good fun. Choso becomes enraged by this and prepares to confront Kenjaku. Spoilers indicate that their battle will be depicted in Chapter 203.

We open with a chat between Choso and Yuki, in which he declares his intent to go it alone against Kenjaku. Choso is unwilling to listen to Yuki when she tells him that he may die if he battles Kenjaku alone, and instead insists that doing so would disclose some of Kenjaku’s powers and could even lead to the use of his Domain Expansion. He claims that if Yuki were to learn more about his skills, he would be better prepared to battle him. Yuji nods in agreement but then warns him once again that death is inevitable.
Choso claims it would be worthwhile to sacrifice his life to protect his family. When Choso inquires as to Yuji’s significance, Kenjaku explains that Yuji is nothing more than a used vessel at this point. He continues by saying that the return of Sukuna is the driving force behind everything and that as long as Sukuna is around, the cursed age will not end. Choso fumes and places the blame on Kenjaku. Choso realises Kenjaku has captured his leg, and Kenjaku proceeds to severely beat Choso while his legs are locked. Even when Kenjaku resorts to his weakest curses, he is still easily defeated by him. The rest of the Death Paintings are all dismissed as failures, but Choso is singled out as the worst letdown since he held such high hopes for him.
Once again Kenjaku begins to exert his dominance over him, this time by using the centipede manoeuvre. Once Choso confirms his ignorance, he asks Choso what it means to be a Special Grade Curse, and Choso explains that it implies they can easily take over a country. Choso is no match for Kenjaku, who explains why in the face of special-grade curses, lower-class grades always lose. Choso, still on the ground, mentally kicks and punches himself for failing to deliver a solid blow to Kenjaku. The fact that Kenjaku has called his brothers disappointments has sent him off the deep end. By the chapter’s finale, a geyser of blood has erupted, and Choso is prepared to confront him once more with the help of his Flowing Red Scale skill.
