Recently, Peacock unveiled some brand new first-look photographs for their forthcoming series Irreverent, which will debut on the streaming platform on November 30, 2022. The new show is a drama that looks at the limits of human changeability, and the fact that one man’s life depends on it may help him adapt. Peacock’s next drama series is an irreverent look at a criminal mediator named Paulo who has to abandon his life in the United States when the Chicago mafia comes after him. When he relocates to a remote area of Australia, he discovers that his world is flipped upside down.
After assuming the identity of Reverend Mackenzie Boyd, he finds himself in the heart of a small town where he must uphold the illusion of a morally upright holy man. The mafia in Chicago, in the meantime, is on his trail. However, Paulo will soon realise that his new fictitious existence in Australia is becoming all too real. Even if the gang that drove him from Chicago eventually makes its way to his new home in Australia, he will be ready.
These brand-new photographs, released just today, provide us with a taste of the cat-and-mouse struggle that awaits in the land down under.
Colin Donnell, who plays Paulo and Reverend Mackenzie Boyd, is shown. Pictures of Donnell before he was forced to leave Chicago to show him wearing a scarf and a jacket while standing in front of a running automobile in a parking garage. A further picture has Paulo in the position of the Reverend, standing uncertainly in front of a stained-glass window. Images published today also show a police officer in Chicago poring over clues and an Australian police officer pulling over the new Reverend, as well as the eccentric group of residents in Australia who grow to know and trust him. Matchbox Pictures, a branch of Universal International Studios within the Universal Studio Group, was responsible for making Irreverent.
A partnership between Peacock and Netflix Australia resulted in the creation of this series. NBCUniversal Global Distribution is handling the distribution. Production on the show took place in Queensland, Australia. The show had its debut on Netflix Australia, but the U.S. premiere will air on Peacock. There will be 10 episodes in total. On November 30th, 2022, Peacock will begin streaming Irreverent.
