Charlie Cox to his Marvel Cinematic Universe comeback in “Daredevil: Born Again”

At first, Charlie Cox returned to the MCU in a cameo-like guest appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the closing episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, we saw him for the first time in his new yellow Daredevil outfit. In any case, the lawyer and vigilante from Hell’s Kitchen has a long road ahead of him. Daredevil: Born Again, a super-sized series co-produced by Disney+ and Marvel Studios, will return the antihero to audiences in the early years of 2024. Cox shares our enthusiasm for this development since Daredevil on Netflix is widely regarded as one of the finest superhero TV programs ever filmed.

The actor talks about his She-Hulk cameo in a recent interview with Marvel, explains how mega-producer Kevin Feige personally called him back and shares his thoughts on being back among the hottest slate of superheroes: Daredevil is one of my favourite fictional heroes. The opportunity to play him was the greatest honour of my career. So far, I’m loving it. It has made a permanent impact on my life. And when the concert ended, I felt like we’d done a fantastic job, we’d had an amazing time, and we could only be happy for what we’d had, despite the sadness of the voyage ends. It’s almost surreal to have been allowed back and given a fresh start. A part of me thinks this is too wonderful to be true. The future has so much promise for me. I can’t wait till the first day of filming the new program to start working on the set. I’ve already started my training. You know that I’ve already begun making preparations for where I’ll be living, how I’ll be exercising, and how I’ll be communicating with the authors. It’s starting to hit me that this is actually happening. Daredevil: Born Again has just begun production. The series’ crew still has to establish where Matt Murdock will be after so many years away from our screens, as Cox stated in a separate interview, and he hasn’t even seen any scripts yet. However, the fact that the first season will consist of 18 episodes implies a lot of ground can be covered; Marvel’s other TV shows have typically told storylines over the course of six episodes. Only Vincent D’onofrio, who played Wilson Fisk in the first Hawkeye film, has been confirmed to appear in the sequel.

The Daredevil: Season 2 trailer has us intrigued, despite the fact that we don’t know much about it. Even though filming She-Hulk’s stunts left him feeling “pretty rusty,” Cox said in Born Again that he has “started kind of doing some MMA training again.” Since Marvel Studios and Disney+ are planning for a release date at the beginning of 2024 and the series is expected to run for at least four months, development on the project is likely to begin in the first few months of 2023.
