Recap of Chapter 73
When Team 7 visited the Hokage’s office in Boruto Chapter 73, they were confused as to their assignment. They have been dormant for quite some time. Mitsuki, however, claimed that once Kawaki joined the group, everyone would start pulling together. Sumire made an effort to diffuse the tension that had arisen among the team members. Soon after, Shikamaru disclosed that Boruto posed the greatest danger since Momoshiki and Kawaki could easily take control of his entire Otsutsuki because of its overwhelming strength.
Sarada was confused by their objective to remove Otsutsuki from Kawaki and Boruto. But Shikamaru denied it, and he discussed Eida’s abilities and identity, and he and his partner were both immune to her. When Sarada probed further, Shikamaru again claimed that their objective was to bring down Eida. Code was defeated, and Eida was on her way to Konoha, she said. As she had previously stated, Kawaki and Boruto were on a mission to stay with her. Shikamaru further embarrassed Eida by telling Kawaki about Eida’s crush on her and urged Kawaki to be careful with her.

With Ada’s entrance into Konoha, the next chapter, “Baptism,” will officially begin. To welcome her, Leaf shinobi Sai, Shikamaru, and the rest of the team will assemble. The sight of so many strangers looking at her, though, left her speechless. Everyone in the room is swayed by her charisma. It demonstrates Eida’s stunning beauty. Sai begins to stutter as he attempts to present her to the villagers. But Shikamaru is more in control of his feelings.
Instead, he and Eida have a brief exchange as he begins to feel Daemon’s presence. Eida describes the house-sharing arrangement and how at ease she feels with the decision to do so. When Shikamaru offers to go with her, she politely declines, saying she’s fine on her own. The fact that she flies there while carrying Daemon continues to stun Shikamaru. Amado is the subject of his interrogation, and he is demanding explanations. Sarada, on the other hand, doesn’t see the sense in continuing the surveillance operation now that they’ve been rendered helpless before her and she knows just how powerful they are. The entire town is taken in by Eida’s charisma. This was too much for even Mitsuki to bear.
