Latest Spoilers for Chater 369
Many fan-contrived explanations for the personalities of the show’s many characters have surfaced thanks to My Hero Academia. Despite the fact that certain fan theories, like “Dabi is a Todoroki,” were proven correct, others, like “Izuku Midoriya’s father,” has yet to be explained. One such speculation involves Katsuki Bakugo and the Second User of One For All (OFA). Prior to the most recent manga chapters, virtually little was known about OFA’s second user or his quirk, Transmission. Chapters 368 and 369 will be discussed in this article to disprove the claim that “Katsuki Bakugo is the Second User of OFA.”
Why is Bakugo being likened to the Second User of One For All? is a question addressed in Chapter 369 of My Hero Academia.
Before this point, the Second User of One For All was mostly unknown to the reading public. There was a dearth of details, even about his peculiarity. More about this mysterious user and his peculiarity have been revealed in recent chapters, though. The Second OFA User had a talent called Transmission, which gave them the ability to control the pace of everything they touched, allowing them to quickly and effectively increase the intensity of their attacks. Forcing the target to lose control of their speed or increasing the impact of collisions are two ways to achieve this goal. This oddity emerged last, making it the “last piece” in a “complete One For All.” There’s no denying that Transmission is a devastating blow. However, this peculiarity has a 5-minute maximum usage time beyond which its user risks dying.
The notion, proposed in Chapter 369 of My Hero Academia, that Katsuki Bakugo is the second user of OFA has been disproven. The idea here is that Bakugo travelled through time because of Eri’s quirk Rewind. He was sent back in time to aid Yoichi (the original OFA user), ensuring the platform’s continued success. When the Second User was spotted with his back to the wall, his profile matched that of Bakugo, lending credence to the claim. Despite the scar on his face, he looked very much like Bakugo when his face was revealed. Yoichi’s hand motion in particular sparked further speculation that he is indeed Bakugo after his admission. Spoilers for Chapter 369 of My Hero Academia, however, disprove this theory. The story opens with a flashback scene in which the second user is engaged in combat with All For One. AFO/battle Shigaraki’s with Deku resumes as the narrative continues.
Chapters 368 and 369 states that the Second User and Bakugo are not connected and that they each have their own peculiarities. Bakugo and the Second User may seem the same, yet they are very different from one another. Since the Second User is an adult Bakugo, we could expect him to know how AFO fights, yet he doesn’t. Eri’s oddity has nothing to do with changing the past, either. That would need a significant reawakening of her eccentric traits. There’s also the mystery of why, after All, Might select Deku to succeed Bakugo as OFA, Bakugo would turn down All Might’s choice.
Concluding Remarks
Katsuki Bakugo’s supposed connection to the second user will be disproven in My Hero Academia chapter 369. To this point, it appears that there is zero chemistry between them; rather, they are two distinct people with unique personalities. Bakugo’s rapid use of Explosion is due to the explosive force of the technique. It’s clear that Eri isn’t taking part in the conflict because she’s nowhere to be seen. Still, it’s possible to draw parallels between the two scenarios. Both the First User and Izuku Midoriya were initially devoid of any distinguishing characteristics. Also, much like the Second User helps the first, Deku is aiding Bakugo by extending a hand. It’s possible that this idea won’t survive My Hero Academia Chapter 369, which is shaping up to be a crucial battle.
As seen in My Hero Academia Chapter 369, an individual’s effectiveness with the OFA Quirk is proportional to their level of motivation to use it. Popular shonen characters often display a strong sense of determination. Izuku Midoriya is legendary for his unyielding spirit. Years before the events of My Hero Academia Chapter 369, he would often triumph through arduous challenges. Thus, the most current chapter serves as an excellent example of his work. One’s own willpower is comparable to the effectiveness of the OFA Quirk. Midoriya’s fight with AFO/Shigaraki in Chapter 369 of My Hero Academia made this quite evident. The Gear Shift Quirk is employed significantly differently by him than it was by the second user of the Original Functional Anisotropy. In Chapter 369 of My Hero Academia, Deku’s strength of will emerges as his distinguishing characteristic.
Willpower, not Quirks, is what makes Deku powerful
A person with the Gear Shift Quirk can alter the rate at which their targets move. An intriguing analogy is brought up in My Hero Academia Chapter 369. The second OFA user plainly fought against AFO and didn’t do anything to him, as shown in a flashback sequence. Years after AFO/Shigaraki had stopped being surprised by the Gear Shift Quirk, the ninth OFA user employed a far more powerful version of it. The villain had no concept of the imbalance of power. But the second OFA user does provide a lengthy justification for why this is the case. He says AFO shouldn’t be worried about the Quirks. They should be more concerned with the villain’s fear of their own strength of will. Chapter 369 of My Hero Academia depicts Midoriya carrying the burden of the entire planet on his shoulders. He is pushing himself above 120% of his strength since he cannot afford to lose to AFO/Shigaraki.
Countless examples exist of Deku proving this
In a number of situations, Midoriya used the OFA Quirk to push himself beyond his boundaries. If he thinks it will help, he’ll go out of his way to try it. All Might is someone Midoriya aspires to emulate. As a result of his doggedness, he is able to masterfully employ the OFA Quirk. Muscular’s path in the Forest Training Camp stands out as a prime illustration. The antagonist’s moniker implies that he was more powerful than Midoriya. Midoriya used the last Delaware Detroit Smash to end the fight because the boy’s life depended on it. This required him to spend 1,000,000% of his OFA Quirk. A number of arcs later, this is still pertinent for My Hero Academia Chapter 369. Since the fate of the entire planet is at risk, the pressure is amplified. In his struggle, Midoriya isn’t simply protecting himself; he’s protecting the lives of billions. Against AFO/Shigaraki, he must not allow himself to lose.
Strength of will is crucial
Banjo Daigoro is the fifth user of the OFA Quirk. Moreover, he is the pioneer among the ex-users in bestowing his abilities upon Midoriya. In Banjo’s opinion, Midoriya is the only person capable of completing the OFA Quirk and ultimately vanquishing AFO. In Chapter 369 of My Hero Academia, he says it flat out. Most individuals wouldn’t have kept fighting if they were in Midoriya’s position, whether it be because of a damaged arm or because they were up against an overwhelming adversary. No, that’s not how Midoriya does business in My Hero Academia Chapter 369. Regardless of the opponent, he will battle to the death. This is precisely why he poses such a threat when he employs the OFA Quirk. To complete his job and foil the villain’s plans, he will spare no effort.
