It may just be the first week of October, but Halloween candy has already been gobbled up by horror enthusiasts. The popular paranormal detectives Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej are back with a new series, Ghost Files, after their last show, Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural, concluded last year. Even though the new series has only shown two episodes so far, it has already been confirmed that Season 2 of Ghost Files, which follows a group of paranormal investigators, will be returning. Bergara and Madej announced the announcement on the verified Watcher Twitter account. They expressed their appreciation for their supporters’ “amazing support” in the statement.
They also asked for viewer-submitted evidence from the Orlando, Florida region in the hopes that it may be used in a Season 2 episode. When it happened, the good news really started to happen. One of Ghost Files’ most appealing features is the method by which the show engages with its viewers. The two take into account the evidence that has been collected by previous viewers of the show as they investigate a haunted place. Bergara and Madej strive to reproduce, disprove, or establish the validity of what they were supplied by fans, and this is intercut with the real inquiry. After only two episodes, Ghost Files has restored everyone’s faith in the paranormal.
Supernatural, according to Buzzfeed’s Unsolved, was not only one of the best comedies but also one of the best paranormal reality series. In Ghost Files, that perfectly satisfying equilibrium is maintained. Bergara and Madej have visited Waverly Hills Sanatorium again and fought off zombies on Alcatraz Island thus far. Since we last saw them, the duo have used a number of innovative new investigation tactics, and the findings are unsettling. One constant, though, is the hilarious back-and-forth between Bergara and Madej. There is still great television to be found in watching a believer and a sceptic try to hash out their differences and make fun of one other.
Even after all these years, they’re a breath of new air in a genre where most shows treat ghosts and demons as if they were scientifically proven real. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but there’s a mystical spark between them. To help us pass the time while waiting for Season 2, Ghost Files is in the middle of its first season. Watcher presently has the first two episodes of the show and the first episode of the Debrief aftershow available on their YouTube page. In this segment, Bergara and Madej discuss the recent episode and take questions from the audience.
