First indications for One Piece Chapter 1062 have been released as the series’ break week draws to a close. Only two indications have been dropped so far, but they seem to suggest that fans have yet to meet the real Vegapunk. Fans, however, had already speculated this long before the first indications for One Piece Chapter 1062 were posted, thus the announcement came as no surprise.
Some readers have intricate theories about who the mysterious “Vegapunk” featured in the previous issue really is. Indications from the most recent chapter of One Piece, 1062, suggest a highly informative and thrilling issue is on the horizon. One Piece’s main leaker, Redon, dropped a tip about the next chapter, 1062, early on October 1. His clue was a GIF of a person’s reaction, in which they exclaim, “I knew it!” with glee.
Within a few hours of Redon’s initial hint, the reliable series news compiler @OP NEWS2022 provided a second clue. They published a photograph with the description, “Vegapunk aficionados, meet the band you were first introduced to in the last issue.”

Taking these two clues together, fans have concluded that the Vegapunk they have been exposed to thus far is not the genuine article. Fans, however, had already come to this conclusion, and the clues just confirmed their suspicions. A lot of people noted right away that the person who claimed to be Vegapunk in the last issue looked a lot like Sanji’s mom, Vinsmoke Sora.
The three of them shared a striking similarity: they all wore their hair parted in the same way, with one side concealing one eye. Sora also appears in the narrative of Germa 66, which is told to audiences in the Whole Cake Island arc. A morphing robot and a seagull are believed to join forces with this Sora as he “walks over the water.” The seagull is unmistakably representative of the Marines and the World Government, while the changing robot might represent the mech out of which Vegapunk first appears to announce herself to the audience.
Also, the “actual adventures of heroes within the Marines” are supposedly the inspiration for this children’s novel, therefore it’s possible that Vegapunk is the Sora character. Fans speculate that Vegapunk may have a connection to Sora and Sanji, which would explain why one of their robots is designed to appear like Vinsmoke Sora. Fans also note that it is still unclear who administered the medicine to Sora that put an end to Vinsmoke Judge’s attempt to manipulate her children’s ancestry.
Some have argued that because the technology on Egghead Island is supposedly 500 years in the future, such an act would need a very sophisticated understanding of DNA. No matter what happens in One Piece Chapter 1062 or later, supporters are confident that the connection between Vegapunk and Vinsmoke Sora will be explained.
