Showtime Announces the Return of “Your Honor” with a New Season Premiere Date

The premiere date for Your Honor, a drama series starring and executive produced by Bryan Cranston (nominated for an Oscar and winner of an Emmy) has been set by Showtime (Breaking Bad). On Sunday, December 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the second and final season of the programme will premiere on Showtime, and it will be available for streaming on the service starting Friday, December 9. The show, which stars Bryan Cranston as Michael Desiato, a distinguished judge in New Orleans, is based on the Israeli series Kvodo, developed by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach and initially aired in August 2021. Desiato’s upstanding life is turned upside down when his son accidentally murders the kid of Jimmy Baxter (SAG Award winner Michael Stuhlbarg) in a hit-and-run.

Season 2 of Your Honor is presently under development and will have 10 episodes, the same number as Season 1. Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The Wire) stars as Michael’s best friend and local politician Charlie, while Hope Davis (Love Life, American Crime) as Jimmy Baxter’s wife Gina, who is “at times even more violent and determined than her husband.” Guest starring as Olivia Delmont, “a seductive assistant U.S. Attorney who must influence and encourage a hesitant asset in order to bring down a crime organisation in New Orleans,” is Oscar and Emmy nominee Rosie Perez (The Flight Attendant). Margot Martindale (The Americans), recipient of an Emmy, will play Senator Elizabeth Guthrie, the mother of Desiato’s late wife and one of the few remaining ties to his former life.

Detective Nancy Costello, played by Amy Landecker (Transparent), is determined to find out the truth after feeling deceived by her buddy Desiato. Season 2 regulars include Jimi Stanton as Carlo, Benjamin Flores Jr. as Eugene Jones, Andrene Ward-Hammond as Big Mo, Keith Machekanyanga as Little Mo, and Lilli Kay as Fia Baxter. Joey Hartstone (The Good Fight) is not just an executive producer but also the showrunner for Season 2. Alongside Cranston, Emmy-nominated producers Robert and Michelle King (The Good Fight, The Good Wife, Evil) and Liz Glotzer (Evil, The Good Fight) are executive producing the series for Moonshot Entertainment.

Besides Rob Golenberg and Alon Aranya, the show is executive produced by Ninio Mashiach, Ram Landes, Ron Eilon, and Danna Stern. CBS Studios and King Size Productions co-produce the show, Your Honor. It has been announced that the Season 2 premiere of Your Honor will air on Showtime on Sunday, December 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
