Now that October has arrived, our regularly scheduled dose of frightening television has returned. Among these are Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures, but beginning this month, the new series Ghost Files promises to win over the hearts of horror fans. Supernatural, presented by Shane Madej and Ryan Bergara, is essentially the spiritual successor to Buzzfeed Unsolved, and to mark the launch on September 23, the world’s favourite Ghoul Boys have produced a chilling new teaser. This teaser will seem quite familiar to viewers who are already familiar with the format of Buzzfeed Unsolved. As usual, Madej and Bergara are up to no good.
All throughout the film, the two investigators maintain a lighthearted tone with their now-iconic wit and banter, even as they navigate dark passageways in some of the world’s darkest places. In the first season, they would visit Waverly Hills Sanatorium again. Madej’s preparation to kick some ghost butt, the couple’s use of cutting-edge technology like the SLS camera, and the sight of numerous bumps in the night (perhaps a “ghost fart”) are among the trailer’s highlights.
The trailer demonstrates how this may be used to show off a humorous “dancing ghoul” of some sort, whose movements are depicted as if they were being made by a stick figure but are actually happening behind the scenes. Of all the fantastic paranormal shows that have aired over the years, none has been near as original as Buzzfeed Unsolved, Madej and Bergara’s earlier series. That terrifyingly entertaining series expertly combined the typical ghost story elements with its more outlandish antics.
Both hilarious and illuminating, it made light of a serious situation. Because Madej and Bergara have such great chemistry together. You won’t find funnier television than the two of them bouncing off each other. They’re like an adorable elderly couple who can’t get along because one of them is a sceptic (Madej) while the other is a firm believer (Bergara). This preview gives me hope that Ghost Files will maintain the positive chemistry between the two main characters. In a sea of paranormal television shows, this dynamic gave Buzzfeed Unsolved a sense of equilibrium and originality in its investigation methodology.
Unlike most individuals who look into the living dead, Madej and Bergara have a spark of life about them. Ghost Files’ spinoff series, Debrief, will air alongside the main episodes. In a similar vein, the duo will respond to reader inquiries concerning their most recent case. On Friday, September 23, the new paranormal series will debut on Watcher’s YouTube account.
