Returning to television on Tuesday, September 20 for its fourth season is FBI: Most Wanted, which has been off the air for quite some time. Now, with the Season 4 debut just around the corner, CBS is giving fans a sneak peek at the first episode of the new season by releasing fresh details and images from the episode. The first episode of the new season, titled “Iron Pipeline,” is expected to live up to the high standards set by the FBI television series franchise. In the new episode, the Fugitive Task Force will do what they do best: search for the people suspected of killing a family of four and trafficking illicit guns.
Barnes (Roxy Sternberg) will return from maternity leave and meet Remy (Dylan McDermott) in this episode. McDermott is a relatively new character on the show, having replaced Julian McMahon as leader of the task force in Season 3. Barnes may have difficulty adapting to Remy’s style of leadership, as has been indicated earlier. In the latest promotional trailer, we see Barnes and Remy formally introduced, and we learn that Ortiz has been sent to Los Angeles to take care of his ailing father. Additionally, Ivan Ortiz (played by Miguel Gomez) left the show after Season 3 concluded. Barnes’s coworkers are shown welcoming her back with open arms. News video of a mass shooting at a summer camp in Delaware is included in the documentary and is disturbing to see.
It’s unclear how this will play into the episode and the working relationship between Remy and Barnes. McDermott and Sternberg are joined by Keisha Castle-Hughes, Alexa Davalos, and Edwin Hodge in the cast of FBI: Most Wanted. In addition to McMahon and Gomez, Kellan Lutz, who played Kenny Crosby, also left the programme at the end of Season 3. YaYa Gosselin’s character, Tali, left at the end of the third season after being admitted to an exclusive Canadian boarding school.
The first spin-off of FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, was created by Dick Wolf and premiered in 2020. The second spin-off, FBI: International, will premiere in 2021. The highly-anticipated show’s fourth season premieres on CBS on Tuesday, September 20, and will be available on Paramount+ for live and on-demand streaming.
