After a lengthy hiatus, Kohei Horikoshi returns with chapter 366 of My Hero Academia, which sees the return of Izuku Midoriya as the series’ main character. The return of Deku to the U.A. after an absence of 16 chapters effectively signals the start of the arc’s final conflict. In this chapter, Shigaraki’s new ability and potential are also explored in further detail. Even though Tomura’s transformed physique is the reason the heroes were able to use Erasure, it was a mixed blessing. This new physique may represent the apex of evolution, as seen in My Hero Academia Chapter 366.
In chapter 366 of My Hero Academia, Mirio distracts Shigaraki so that Deku may step into the spotlight. Mirko and Mirio fought Shigaraki to the best of their abilities in the previous chapter, but Mirko ultimately lost another limb. Shigaraki’s body regressed and fashioned likenesses of his family members from his flesh out of anger that the heroes were attempting to safeguard Bakugo but no one sought to aid Tenko Shimura.
Chapter 366 of My Hero Academia is titled “Full Moon.”
Review of Chapter 366
According to Chapter 366 of My Hero Academia, Shigaraki’s physical form was intentionally crafted to change and grow in order to keep up with his ruthless appetite for carnage. However, due to his usage of Erasure, his ability to heal mental and physical wounds was rendered ineffective. After being pushed to his physical and mental limits, Shigaraki’s physique morphed into a state that’s perfect for his current situation. Hands fashioned from his fleshy relatives’ likenesses protected his body like a suit of armour. On his road to Bakugo and Best Jeanist, Shigaraki was bolstered by his success against Mirko, Tamaki, and Nejire. He paid no attention to Mirio, who was helpless to stop him.
Finally, Shigaraki was able to get beyond Best Jeanist’s defences. When Mirio thought about Sir Nighteye, he felt hopeless about letting down his friends. Moments thereafter, Mandalay declared that everyone must drop the barrier and hold off Shigaraki for two seconds. Two seconds was too long for them now, so Mirio took a cue from his late teacher and diverted Shigaraki’s attention with a joke he’d played on Eri before. The wicked Shigaraki was halted in his tracks by Mirio’s antics, which elicited an unwelcome laugh from the man. Yet, Shigaraki looked up and saw that Deku had arrived with the American jets. Midoriya charged forward into the fight with the help of his Blackwhip and delivered a Smash to the adversary.
In My Hero Academia, chapter 366, we learn that Shigaraki’s body is constantly changing and that its potential is, in theory, infinite. To all appearances, the American research facilities were correct in proclaiming him to be the pinnacle of existence. The question of whether this development will cease once Shigaraki regains full access to his multiple peculiarities is moot, given that his body is doing this to compensate for the lack of power due to Erasure. This may be a reference to Sir Nighteye’s assertion that Midoriya can alter the future, which Mirio recalled in his recollection of him. On the surface, this seems to demonstrate the late hero’s confidence in his second mentee.
However, in light of current theories concerning the Second User’s time-related quirk, this comment might also be seen as a clue. Having such an oddity might make Midoriya the outlier that thwarts AFO’s future goals. Pilots from the United States have followed the Stars and Stripes despite President Trump’s reservations about aiding Japan. In Chapter 357, Deku and Yoichi were high over the ocean when they spotted the jets below them.
How much time has gone since then is unclear, but with the introduction of jets, it’s safe to assume that Deku was able to reach U.A. considerably more quickly than before (My Hero Academia, Chapter 366). The emergence of Deku is the main attraction of this chapter. Following the events of Chapter 362, readers have been anxiously awaiting his return to U.A. and the main conflict. In this episode, Deku appears motivated and concentrated, yet his countenance is still gloomy. Whether Mandalay has already notified him about the issue with Bakugo or whether he is soon to find out is still unknown.
The return of Deku in Chapter 366 of My Hero Academia has renewed fans’ anticipation of the Hero losing it over Bakugo. It’s true that Shigaraki singled out Bakugo because he was the nearest person to the ninth user of One for All. But it will be anti-climactic and fascinating if Deku handles the issue more maturely than he did during the Paranormal Liberation War arc.
