John Bradley’s next project will see him playing a British investigator. In the new Paramount+ series North Shore, Bradley will play the role of Max Wylie, as reported by Deadline. Due to his lack of cooperation, Max’s job prospects within the police force remain uncertain throughout the series. Max’s wife is thinking of divorcing him, therefore the future of their marriage is also unclear.
As part of the joint British and Australian investigation into the murder of a British cabinet minister’s daughter, Max is then dispatched to Sydney Harbour in Australia. Bradley is famous for his role as Samwell Tarly in HBO’s Game of Thrones, which ran from 2011 to 2019. Moonfall and Marry Me, both from this year and directed by Kat Coiro, are among his other works (directed by Roland Emmerich). Joanne Froggatt will play Abigail Crawford in the show as well. Her background and personality are still shrouded in mystery.
Froggatt has gained fame for her role as Anna Bates on ITV’s Downtown Abbey and in the films Downtown Abbey (2019) and Downtown Abbey: A New Era (2022). Mary Shelley (2017), directed by Haifaa al-Mansour, is another one of her films, along with 2016’s A Street Cat Named Bob (directed by Roger Spottiswoode). In a limited thriller series last year, she played the lead role of Angela Black. The creator of BBC One’s Sunburn and ITV’s Life Begins and Cold Feet, Mike Bullen, also developed North Shore.
In addition to directing episodes, he will serve as an executive producer for the show. North Shore has hired Marcia Gardner to join its writing staff. She has previously worked on the TV shows The Doctor Blake Mysteries (ABC), Sea Patrol (Nine), and All Saints (Seven). The show will be directed by Gregor Jordan. Our executive producers are David Maher, David Taylor, and Di Hadden. Beach Road Pictures is responsible for making North Shore. The series will be co-produced with ITV Studios, which will handle worldwide distribution. Screen Australia will contribute to the funding of the series as well. The shoot will kick off in Sydney, Australia, in the month of October.
There’ll be six episodes in the debut season. However, Paramount+ has not yet confirmed when the first episode of North Star will be available to stream. Bradley’s prior work as Samwell Tarly in Game of Thrones may be viewed by fans on HBO Max right now.
