Coming shortly is Anthony Mackie’s debut Captain America film, the fourth instalment, New World Order. At the recently finished D23 expo, it was announced that actor Danny Ramirez will fly as the new Falcon, taking over for Chris Evans as Mackie takes up the mantle. There has been a great deal of discussion and conjecture about the differences between the two Captain Americas. Ramirez recently told IGN that Captain America’s position has shifted in the MCU after the blip. When Chris Evans first became the First Avenger a decade ago, there were fewer aliens and interstellar battles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Evans left a personal imprint on the role.
Many years and many fights later, an elderly Rogers gave his loyal companion Sam Wilson the shield without giving it any thought. These bleak truths were pushed to the fore by The Flacon and The Winter Soldier. “Sam Wilson is his own person,” in Ramirez’s opinion. However, many fans had a mixed reaction to the series before it premiered, much as they did in the MCU because a black man carrying on the heritage of the shield was troublesome in both worlds. Is the world ready for Sam Wilson as Captain America, and what that means, and simply seeing the wrestling with that in the series, was brought to life brilliantly in the show, and Ramirez promises that those themes will be expanded upon in New World Order.
Here’s the next part of it. The actor stated that the cast and crew have “been questioned a lot about it” in regards to the contrast between Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson. Even though some may say “Yeah, but no,” Sam Wilson is our very own Captain America. It’s a tremendously exciting time to be here, and I think realising that and going for it full force is the key,” he said. As for Sam Wilson’s time as Captain America, he stated, “Well, look, he is a different human being and comes from a different set of circumstances. On the other hand, this MCU is unlike any other. The MCU has resumed operations after an interruption. After Thanos, the MCU moves on.
Consequently, the external environment has also undergone a significant transformation. The definition of a hero has shifted, too. In addition, he disclosed, that Steve Rogers didn’t have to cope with the kinds of choices and challenges that he will. Because of his newfound role as the team’s leader, he must make crucial choices that will have far-reaching effects. So, his environment has shifted and he himself has evolved, making for interesting tale possibilities. The release date for Captain America: New World Order has been scheduled for May 3, 2024.
