After the events of Black Clover Chapter 337 made it clear that Asta was safe, many people started wondering where he was and who had saved him. Fans are eager to see what Asta does in Hino Country and what he finds or learns there that he may use to defeat Lucius once he returns victorious to the Clover Kingdom. Black Clover Chapter 337 centred mostly on Asta’s arrival in Hino Country, but it also included the return of the Black Bulls team (without Asta and Yami). Nonetheless, they make a foolish and perhaps deadly choice on this problem.
The Black Bulls in Chapter 337 of Black Clover embark on a wild goose chase without a map, a clue, or any other form of preparation. In spite of the Black Bulls’ certainty that Asta is still alive, no information about Asta’s whereabouts is provided in Black Clover Chapter 337. Still, the group appears resolved to track down their comrade, wherever he may be and regardless of whether or not they have any clue where to start looking.
But there are some major misconceptions being held by the group about where Asta may be and how much of an influence they can have on his rescue. Even while there are potential upgrades that might change this, the squad’s existing skills give little indication that they will be of any use. Finral Roulacase, the group’s user of Spatial Magic, is hampered by the fact that he must have previously existed in a location before he may create a portal to that location. It’s possible that he’ll learn a new spell that will allow him to teleport to specific individuals rather than certain locations, although this hasn’t been proven as of yet.
In addition, Vanessa has the Red Thread of Fate spell, which may alter the course of events in a way that benefits the user and their allies. Her present powers aren’t strong enough to impact non-threat objects, but a more potent version of the spell could. Not so with her spell so far, unlike Finral’s.
Reasons why such a conclusion could be flawed
The fact that Asta is on a different continent is a huge flaw in the Black Bulls’ plan to find him. Noelle’s noble title makes it feasible for her to go to the continent of Hino Country, but this raises the question of why Yami hasn’t returned to his hometown despite having the ability to do so. Even if the Black Bulls do track him down, they won’t be able to do anything to assist Asta in her battle against Lucius. The chances of any of them knowing a special method that they could pass on to their squadmate Asta are slim, and even if they did, Asta would have had to have missed out. They might be able to assist him to cope with the emotional aspects of his training in Hino Country, but they probably won’t be able to help him with the more practical aspects of his training.
The Black Bulls’ arrival in Hino Country raises questions about their motivations, as the desired result might have been achieved without them. Nonetheless, as shown in Chapter 337 of Black Clover, there is still the most important aspect that renders the Black Bulls’ decision here dubious. Beyond the events of Black Clover Chapter 337, it is probable that the Black Bulls may face formidable opposition, what with Lucius Zogratis being on the move and having two allies whose identities remain unknown.
Not only would they be formidable foes, but as of Black Clover Chapter 337, the Black Bulls in their current form probably don’t even have the resources to combat Lucius. Without nobody to counteract his Time Magic, Lucius would be able to quickly and easily vanquish them all. Therefore, the Black Bulls’ pursuit of Asta in Black Clover Chapter 337 looks to be quite hasty. It will be intriguing to see where this story point leads since I’m sure series author and artist Yuki Tabata has a plan in mind.
