Recap of Boruto Chapter 72
During his chat with Shikamaru, Kawaki made it clear that he had never liked Amado. Shikamaru got a call from Amado while Kawaki thought he was dead. Since Code had lost his trusted buddy Eida, the scientist said, he posed no longer threat. While doing so, he also broke the shocking news to Shikamaru that the restrictions on Code had been lifted. Since Eida was drawn to Kawaki, he also revealed that he and Daemon would soon be visiting Konohagakure. In the midst of Boruto’s departure for a mission, his mother walked in on him. To find out if Boruto was being sent on a mission, Hinata inquired.
After he gave her the confirmation, Hinata burst into tears and apologised to her son for her emotional state. She was worried he would never come back to her. Her son told her not to worry, that he was coming back shortly. Himawari overheard the whole thing and later asked her mother if she should join the ninja organisation to help her older brother out on missions. Momoshiki confronted the protagonist, and the latter kept babbling about his ship’s demise. He would have to give up everything he cared about, and Boruto was furious about it.
He abruptly ended the call and prepared to travel to Shikamaru’s residence to receive the mission briefing. Sarada was taken aback by her teammate’s behaviour. At the same time, Code and Fu were introduced to the Ten-Tailed Beast in an unspecified place. He etched teleportation symbols into the beast’s claws so that his army of talented fighters could teleport between locations.
