Recap of Kaguya-sama: Love is War Chapter 274
After Nagisa Kashiwaki breaks up with her lover Tsubasa, leaving him distraught, the student council tries to restore order in Chapter 274 of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. Ishigami informs Maki Shijo that she may now be able to act on her feelings for Tsubasa, which she had repressed for a long time. Until recently, this would have been Maki’s dream, but now that she has it, she is quite uneasy. She tracks down Nagisa, knowing full well that the reason for the breakup is probably due to her, and confronts her. For a long time, Nagisa has looked up to Maki, and she even acknowledges that she shares Maki’s tastes in music, movies, and television. Even the fact that she’s in a relationship with Tsubasa, she thinks, is evidence of this.
They break up because she claims she feels more about Maki and that she never would have dated Tsubasa if she had known about Maki’s affection for him. Maki probes her by asking how Nagisa would react if she and Tsubasa pretended to be romantically involved in front of Nagisa. Nagisa attempts to play it cool and shift the attention to Maki’s suffering, but deep down she’s troubled. If Nagisa didn’t care for Tsubasa, Maki doesn’t think she’d be experiencing envious sentiments. Having developed sufficiently to provide sound advice, Maki tells Nagisa she shouldn’t give up on Tsubasa as long as she still cares about him. She tells us that she will continue to be Nagisa’s friend and that she would eventually get over her high school crush. Our lovable narrator guarantees that her own happiness is just around the corner. There will be just nine more chapters of the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War manga until its conclusion is revealed.
