Today, Millennium and Screen Media released a first peek at their forthcoming action film, The Enforcer. In this noir suspense film, Antonio Banderas (Uncharted) and Kate Bosworth (The Immaculate Room) play members of a criminal organisation who clash when she endangers the life of a minor he befriended. After realising that saving the girl may cost him his life, the enforcer resolves to do it anyhow. Production firms have also announced the film’s official release date on September 23. The Enforcer’s teaser video shows us that Banderas has two very distinct personas in the film.
Cuda, played by Oscar contender Michael Pena, is a cold-blooded killer who may quickly turn on the injustices he perceives. The problem is that no one supports him when he decides he no longer wants to play by the rules set by his group. Banderas’ storyline, which centres on a young man building a name for himself in underground combat rings, is also highlighted in the video. He may be able to have a regular life, but he will have to decide whether or not to give up a possible criminal activity after realising he is excellent at it and gets good money from it.
At best, we won’t know until the month’s conclusion. Richard Hughes, who previously directed a number of short films, helms his first movie in The Enforcer. W. Peter Iliff, who previously wrote the script for the Keanu Reeves cult classic Point Break, Patriot Games, starring Harrison Ford, Under Suspicion, starring Gene Hackman, and Varsity Blue, starring Jon Voight, created the screenplay for this film. Mojean Aria (Apple TV+’s See), Zolee Griggs (Wu-Tang: An American Saga), and Alexis Ren (The Strain) join stars Antonio Banderas and Kate Bosworth in The Enforcer (Deported).
International rap superstar 2 Chainz also makes his acting debut in this film. Popular films including The Fate of the Furious, 22 Jump Street, and The First Purge have utilised the rapper’s songs. On September 23, both cinemas and video on demand will begin showing The Enforcer for the first time.
