Recap
After spending three weeks looking for him, Arthur is still pursuing a panther-like beast dubbed Clawed. But after weeks of practice, he still can’t match his pace. As he has practised, Arthur has gotten to the point where he can cover 10 yards without having to ring the bell. Despite this, Clawed is slow enough to be captured. A bird bites a squirrel while Arthur watches, and then flies off with it. The bird was able to easily grab its prey because it predicted where the squirrel would jump.
Arthur realises that he needs to use his strength to take one really rapid stride, despite the fact that Mirage Walk may hide his mana. Eliminating it would be like teleportation, and he’d be one step closer to catching the Clawed. As he reflects on his old life, Arthur remembers the extensive training he had and how he learned about the intricate musculoskeletal system.
With this information in hand, Arthur practises controlling his mana in order to simulate the usage of his muscle without really employing it. Two Claweds are seen battling in the bush by Arthur. One of the Clawed, however, attempts to flee, and Arthur is able to apprehend him. Both of them end themselves in a deep gouge, and by the conclusion of the chapter, Arthur has seen a huge figure in the distance.
