After shocking fans by killing off one of their favourite characters, My Hero Academia Chapter 364 suggests a way to bring Bakugo back from the dead, but it would need the ultimate sacrifice of one of the heroes, Edgeshot. At the height of the battle between heroes and villains in My Hero Academia Chapter 362, Bakugo was killed by a strike to the chest from Shigaraki, despite the heroes’ best efforts to defend themselves against the villain’s altered body. The news of Bakugo’s death came as a shock to everyone who read it.
A popular theory among fans is that Eri may use her reversal quirk to send Bakugo back in time to a moment in his life when he was still living. There is a problem, though, with that scenario. See, Eri was only able to accomplish it on the physical level, but because Bakugo has already died and his heart has been torn into pieces, Eri may have to deal with the hereafter, a topic that hasn’t been addressed in the manga series.
Then, in Chapter 364 of My Hero Academia, there’s a new plan that could bring Bakugo back from the dead, but it’ll need the ultimate sacrifice from another hero: trading lives. If it means bringing Bakugo back, Edgeshot is prepared to die. You see, Edgeshot’s special ability allows him to fold into tiny threads, much like paper, giving him the ability to enter the bodies of others and exert control from within.
In order to restore Bakugo’s beating heart, Edgeshot would have to make the ultimate sacrifice and remain within the city forever. It would appear that Bakugo is far too valuable to be sacrificed, but hey, the harm has already been done and people have already mourned over his murder, so they have succeeded! You can find out what happens next in My Hero Academia Chapter 365, which is rumoured to be released on September 4, 2022.
