Where the Crawdads Sing, a coming-of-age murder thriller, was a huge hit earlier this summer. It’s finally coming home, and it’s coming home with almost seventeen minutes of more material, including cuts, extensions, and other extras. Beginning September 6, Where the Crawdads Sing may be purchased digitally, and on September 13, it will be released on Blu-ray and DVD. The 2018 film Where the Crawdads Sing is based on Delia Owens’s best-selling novel of the same name. Kya, the film’s protagonist, is a lady who was left as a youngster and was left to fend for herself in the North Carolina marshes. Her isolated existence is disrupted, however, when she develops feelings for two young guys from the surrounding town.
Eventually, Kya becomes the major suspect in the murder of one of them. When the trial finally begins, people may learn things that would have been kept hidden in the muck for a long time. Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John-Smith, Harris Dickinson, Michael Hyatt, Sterling Macer Jr., and David Strathairn are among the cast members in Where the Crawdads Sing, which Olivia Newman directed. Synopsis
Mystery fans will enjoy this intriguing plot twist from the best-selling novel. In Where the Crawdads Sing, we follow Kya as she survives the perilous marshes of North Carolina as a child and then as an adult. Kya, while being a bright and hardy member of society, spent years on the outside of society due to tales about the “Marsh Girl” that circulated around Barkley Cove. Kya finds herself drawn to two young guys in town, and in doing so, she opens herself up to a new and shocking world. However, when one of the men is found dead, the community instantly labels her as the prime suspect. As the trial progresses, it becomes more and more difficult to determine what happened, threatening to expose the numerous secrets that are hidden in the marsh.
