Brief Review of Episode 8
The events of “An Unexpected Move,” episode 8 of Overlord Season 4, were followed. It detailed how the Holy Kingdom would receive humanitarian help from the Sorcerer Kingdom. Which was supposed to be sent via the Re-Estize Kingdom. But Albedo’s puppet, the new Baron Montserrat Phillip, was not pleased. Since the harvests wouldn’t be sold if the Sorcerer Kingdom helped the Holy Kingdom, he and other nobility would lose a lot of money. Phillip and the other lords resolved to assault and loot the caravan to prevent this from happening. The Re-Estize Kingdom is deeply sorry that what occurred there.
As soon as Albedo learned of this, she went in search of Hilma, the person whose job it was to keep a watch on Phillip. While Albedo was trying to punish her, Ainz was there to defend her by taking the blame for what had happened. Hilma was attracted to Ainz because she saw his justification. The Floor Guardians and Ainz met later for a secret strategy session. Albedo elaborated on the “carrot and stick” strategy in this section. When asked what should be done about the robbers, the Floor Guardians advocated for their execution. Despite Ainz’s best efforts to prevent bloodshed, Demiurge has come to believe that this was always Ainz’s intention. He claims that Ainz intended to make this issue of national importance by starting a conflict with the Re-Estize Kingdom.
Ainz was therefore helpless to prevent the chain of events that led to the Sorcerer Kingdom and its allies declaring war on the Re-Estize Kingdom. Prince Zanac and King Ramposa III of the Re-Estize Kingdom sought answers to these problems. Upon Albedo’s arrival in the Kingdom, King Ramposa III devised the plan he had been considering all along. In an effort to buy time for the Re-Estize Kingdom, he traded his head to the Sorcerer Kingdom.
Episode 9 of Season 4 of Overlord: What to Expect?
In the ninth episode of Overlord season 4, the Sorcerer Kingdom mostly responds to King Ramposa III’s request. The promotional trailer for Season 4 of Overlord suggests that the Sorcerer Kingdom’s plans to grow their nation will proceed. War with the Re-Estize Kingdom is imminent, but Ainz must ensure that no one discovers his role in orchestrating the conflict. Albedo, in charge of the nobility, and Demiurge, in charge of information control, were tasked with seeing to this. Meanwhile, the remaining Floor Guardians were tasked with wiping out populations one settlement at a time.
