Even months after the last season aired, we were all still utilising memes from the show, proving just how engrossing Succession is. The show, which stars Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, and Sarah Snook, has deservedly been nominated for accolades since its first season, and as we approach Season 4, there are many potential newcomers who might give Waystar Royco a fight for their money. As reported by Deadline, 9 more characters have been confirmed to return in the following season, and yes, I am yelling. Dagmara Domiczyk plays Waystar Royco employee Karolina Novotney; Alexander Skarsgrd plays the company’s CEO Lukas Mattson; Arian Moayed is expected to reprise his role as Stewy, and Jess Jordan is also among the nine performers.
Naomi Pierce, who is dating Kendall Roy (Strong), will be joining Juliana Canfield upon her return (played by Annabelle Dexter-Jones). For Season 4, we will also be seeing the return of Stephen Root, Cherry Jones, Hope Davis, and Justin Kirk. Considering the events of Season 3, it’s only natural that the previous cast would return. In Season 3, we saw the Roy children essentially on their own after they attempted to double-cross their father Logan (Cox), leaving us with many worries about the future of our favourite dysfunctional affluent family. Still, it seems to be the Succession pattern.
We’re always on the edge of our seats, anticipating what the following season will bring, and we know that Kendall, Shiv (Snook), and Roman won’t have it easy with this cast of returning characters (Culkin). The obvious additions of Stewy, Jess, and Naomi make this cast of characters all the more interesting. The return of characters like Congressman Jerryd Mencken (played by Kirk) and Domiczyk’s Karolina (also a guarantee, at least in my mind) does make for an intriguing voyage in Season 4. Especially considering Shiv’s reaction to the role she had to play in Mencken’s endorsement and how she felt about it. While we wait for Season 4 of the critically acclaimed series, this gives fans plenty of hypotheses to consider and characters to ponder.
