Disney+ Day has been rescheduled to this coming Thursday, September 8th. In addition to the numerous debuts and new content coming to the platform, there will be festivities at all of the various Disney Parks, experiences, and products. The short film Remembering, in which Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel, also stars, will have its world debut on that day. There are few things more wonderful than an idea, which can be created by a human being with no outside help. They arise and disappear with the passing of time, tide, or another cyclical phenomenon. Remembering, directed by Emmy winner Elijah Allan-Blitz, explores fundamental themes about the profound yet fleeting nature of thoughts.
At the core of the picture is a writer (Larson) who has been gifted with a brilliant idea but who promptly loses it when the phone rings. The writer’s inner child follows this golden light as it travels over the vast landscape of the World of Imagination in pursuit of this idea. The theme of Remembering is that it’s easy to get jaded and disconnected from the world around us, but that each of us has the potential to rediscover new sources of motivation if we’re brave enough to recall our own childhoods and the boundless possibilities they offered. The innovative Augmented Reality software is based on the short film’s moving pictures and adds new dimensions to the user’s experience.
Only a subset of Disney+ users in the US will be able to scan their TV and become a part of the tale, bringing the intriguing World of Imagination into their own homes. You may also look forward to the premieres of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Cars on the Road, Growing Up, and Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory if you are a member or planning to subscribe on Disney+ Day. Robert Zemeckis directed and Tom Hanks starred in the live-action remake of Pinocchio. Disney, Marvel, and Pixar classics will be shown in special screenings on Disney+ Day. From September 8-19, these will be shown at various AMC Theatres. On the heels of Disney+ Day, on September 9-11, is the D23 Expo, “The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.”
