Concealed Revelations in Black Clover 334
Forcing the former wizard king to aid him in creating his ideal world, Lucius revealed in the previous chapter that he and Julius were two souls in one body. Asta used Anti-Magic to break through the time-freezing spell Lucius cast. After hearing Lucius proclaim the youngster “The defect of the world,” the boy vowed revenge on the Wizard King and victory over Lucius. The 334th chapter of Black Clover is titled “Fragile Souls.”
Highlights from Chapter 334 of Black Clover
Black Clover 334 begins with the statement that despite the enormous might of Asta’s Devil Union in battle, Asta can only hold it for five minutes after having trained for a year.
With the Devil Union, however, Asta may maintain a partially altered condition for up to 10 minutes. In order to strengthen a particular appendage or weapon, Asta does not blanket himself in Anti-Magic but rather focuses it there. Everything, as is said in Black Clover 334, gives in to the passage of time, hence Time Magic can’t be stopped. But this all-encompassing magic can be undone by Anti-Magic.
In the midst of Asta’s plea for the citizens and Sister Lily to go, Lucius materialises by his side. The oldest Zogratis wonders aloud how frustrating it is that Asta and Liebe did not change when he touched them. The only way, he decides, to defeat Anti-Magic is by brute force. When Asta and Liebe see Lucius, they are reminded of Lucifero, but they also remind themselves that they are much stronger today than they were during the Spade Kingdom Raid. Asta deftly switches swords and continues to slash at the Zogratis. Whenever Lucius feels he has the upper hand, he suddenly becomes a seraphic avatar with chiselled features and antlers. He informs Asta he was raised by Devil Hosts but eventually became a purifier of Devil Magic.
To describe his new appearance, Lucius uses the phrase “Humanity’s genuine form.” Similar to Spirit Assimilation, Asta deduces that the new version’s Ki is neither human nor Devil. With the boy’s attention diverted, Lucius teleports behind Sister Lily and takes her captive.
When pressed, he admits that his actual magic is Soul Magic, which allows him to alter the spiritual makeup of anybody he comes into contact with. While Asta mulls over which blade to employ to protect Sister Lily, Lucius makes her into “a person who is genuinely joyful.”
Sister Lily assumes a shape analogous to that of Lucius. Her expression hardens as she orders Asta to sacrifice herself for the greater good of the planet.
While telling a stunned Asta that his soul is weak, Lucius cuts him across the chest with his bare hand. On the final page of Black Clover chapter 334, Lucius says his goodbyes to the youngster who has become the “Flaw of the world.” Asta has evolved as a fighter and a mage, as seen in chapter 334 of Black Clover. While the lack of protection from Devil Union in most of his body is a drawback, the spot on his body where he focuses his magic gains limitless strength. It makes sense to settle for more strength and a longer time limit as a compromise. Asta is having flashbacks to both Lucifero and Julius thanks to Lucius’s Ki, which combines Gravity Magic, Time Magic, and Soul Magic.
We don’t sure what Lucius’ full range of abilities is just yet. It is also not quite obvious what it means to undergo a Soul Transformation. However, it is obvious that a person’s look and personality are both altered by a soul transformation. In that case, Sister Lily wouldn’t have advised Asta to end her life. It’s quite doubtful that Asta will be able to heal from his injuries and shock on his own. A number of the Magic Knights, led by Noelle, are already in the capital, so it’s likely that they’ll lend him a hand. Tabata might also utilise this to introduce Yuno dramatically to the climax of the story.
