Filming for Michael Mann’s “Ferrari” Begins in Italy, Cast, Release Date, Synopsis & Everything you need to know

Fast, Italian, and ready for mass production. Production on Ferrari, Michael Mann’s newest film, has begun in Italy. The new movie will depict the life of Italian racing driver and Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari. Adam Driver, who seems to enjoy playing Italian businessmen, takes on the role of Enzo Ferrari. Driver portrayed Maurizio Gucci in 2021’s House of Gucci, directed by Ridley Scott. Patrick Dempsey plays racing driver Piero Taruffi, Jack O’Connell plays racing driver Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon plays Linda Christian, Gabriel Leone plays Fon De Portago, and Shailene Woodley plays Laura Ferrari in the new film.

Dempsey, on the other hand, has a particularly personal connection to his new profession as a racing car driver, given that he is, in fact, a race car driver in real life. The new movie, written by Troy Kennedy Martin and directed by Mann, has a great plot. Brock Yates’s book, Enzo Ferrari: The Man and the Machine, serves as the inspiration for the new film. Through his firm Moto Pictures, Mann is producing the picture alongside P.J. van Sandwijk, John Lesher, John Friedberg, Lars Sylvest, Thorsten Schumacher, Gareth West, and Thomas Hayslip. Mann also tweeted a photo from the set to mark the beginning of filming. Working with committed and passionate artists, such as Adam Driver, Penelope Cruz, and Shailene Woodley, and with an incredible supporting ensemble including Jack O’Connell, Patrick Dempsey, Sarah Gadon, Gabriel Leone, and more in these very tragic parts,” stated Mann of his newest film.

The year 2022 is shaping up to be monumental for Mann. For those who can’t wait for Mann’s next Ferrari movie, he also directed the pilot episode of the HBO Max series Tokyo Vice, which has been picked up for a full season. Furthermore, he released his debut novel, Heat 2, which is the continuation of the groundbreaking film from the ’90s. In Ferrari, we’ll see ex-race car driver Ferrari go through financial and psychological troubles beginning in the summer of 1957.

Ferrari, who has recently experienced financial ruin, marital strife, and the death of a beloved son, has decided to take a chance on the Mille Miglia, a 1,000-mile race through Italy. In 2023, Ferrari will debut a whole new model. Production on the film has moved to Italy. In the meanwhile, you may rent or buy Michael Mann’s Heat 2, or watch House of Gucci practise your Italian accent like Adam Driver.
