Cobra Kai Season 5 is almost here, and as usual, Netflix has been teasing us with a video that gives us a sneak peek at what to anticipate from the new episodes. More than three decades after their fight in the groundbreaking martial arts film The Karate Kid, the protagonists of this series are still bitter enemies. The new members of Cobra Kai, as well as a glimpse of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Danny LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and the return of Karate Kid III star Sean Kanan in the role of Mike Barns, were all shown off in a batch of photographs released by Netflix a week ago.
According to the latest photos, Thomas Ian Griffith’s Terry Silver is extremely successful in franchising his Cobra Kai school. Season 4 concluded with Silver’s team victorious in the All Valley Tournament, which led to the permanent closure of the Miyagi-Do Karate dojo. Because of this, the wicked sensei has spread his flags and maps all throughout the city of Los Angeles. The photos also provide a look at the new character, sensei Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim), as well as Kreese’s (Martin Kove) time in prison after being falsely accused.
Cobra Kai is a TV spinoff of the 1980s movie franchise starring Ralph Macchio and the late Pat Morita. The plot revolves around karate master Terry Silver reopening his former school. After its cancellation on YouTube Red, Netflix decided to pick up the series, and viewers seem to be enjoying it so far. Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, who have just begun production on another action comedy series for Netflix, developed and wrote the show. Some of the other stars of the programme include Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Mariduea, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, Vanessa Rubio, and Peyton List, Martin Kove, Dallas Dupree Young, Oona O’Brien, and Griffin Santopietro. Cobra Kai Season 5 will debut on Netflix on September 9.
